The prevalence of overweight and obesity at Secondary School Pupils in the Region Táborsko.

Abstract: This thesis deals with the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children in the second grade of primary schools in the region of Tábor. The main focus of my theoretical part was to get acquainted with the characteristics of childhood obesity, its causes, risks and prevention and the consequent problems. The main part of my work was the research itself. Using anthropometric measurements on 2nd graders in elementary schools in the region of Tábor. I examined body height, body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, birth weight, birth length, and BMI. A total of 198 students participated from six primary schools surveyed. From the data, which was obtained in measurements, I determine that the prevalence of overweight was found in 13.1% of the total number of pupils. These 13.1% were 12 girls and 14 boys. The prevalence of obesity was found in 7.6% of the total number of pupils and occurred in 8 obese girls and 7 obese boys.

The prevalence of overweight and obesity at Secondary School Pupils in the Region Pelhřimovsko.

Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the prevalence of obesity and overweight adolescents in the region Pelhřimovsko. Specifically job is to approach the theoretical issues and then determine the prevalence of obesity and overweight pupils 7th and 8th grades of primary schools. Anthropometric measurements were attended by a total of 200 probands, of which 112 girls and 88 boys. We measured body height, weight, hip circumference and waist, birth weight and birth length. Based on the measured value, we calculated BMI. We found the value zone overweight 11, 5% of the total number of students measured. Overweight occurred at 10 boys and 13 girls. On the basis of percentiles graphs obesity affects 21% of individuals. Into these 21% include 25 boys and 17 girls. It is interesting that a large percentage is of underweight children.

Abstract: In this thesis I dealt with the theme of the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children in the second grade of primary school in the region Telčsko. The theoretical objective was to get to know issues regarding the right of overweight and obesity, causes and prevention. The most important part of the whole study, however, was research. This covered the anthropometric measurements of pupils in second level of primary school. During measurement, we examined the body height, body weight, waist circumference can Boku, birth weight, birth length subsequently BMI . A total of 221 individuals from seven elementary schools was attended. From obtained data was found that the prevalence of obesity affected 17.2% of probands. Of these 17.2% were 18 girls and 20 boys. The prevalence of obesity was 14.9% and occurred in 13 of the girls and 20 of the boys.
