Variabilita genu kappa-kasein u plemene brown swiss v České republice
Sloupenský, Martin
Kappa-casein has the general function in process of cheese production. Understanding the effect of gene polymorphism of kappa-casein to the nutritional and physical properties of milk may lead to more efficient breeding of dairy cattle. Within this thesis was genotyped by 240 brown swiss and jersey cows determinated using the PCR-RFLP. Then was performed association analysis of the impact of various genotypes on milk production parameters in the program SAS. An association between gene CSN3 polymorphism and milk yield was not statistically significant.
The Importance and the Status of Crown Dependencies in the United Kingdom
Čadil, David ; Soukup, Jaromír (advisor) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
The bachelor's thesis "The Importance and the Status of Crown Dependencies in the United Kingdom" focuses on the status and importance of the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. These islands are not sovereign states, they are under the British administration. The United Kingdom handles their defense and international representation. The Crown Dependencies however possess a great amount of independence. They have their own legislative bodies, governments and tax and judicial systems. The head of each island is the British monarch. Each island also has its own currency, which, however, is tied to the British Pound at a ratio of one to one. The islands are regarded as important off-shore financial centers. The goals of this thesis are to find out the islands' current status and significance, and to debate their further development. Hodnocení výnosových a kvalitativních znaků u rekombinantních linií ječmene jarního s vyšší tolerancí k suchu
Baláž, David
Goal of "Evaluation of yield and quality parameters at recombinant lines of spring barley with higher tolerance to drought" was to analyze offspring from crossing of two selected parents of Jersey a spring malting barley and Tadmor a syrian landrace variety of barley. The sowing of F4 generation of hybrids has been done on two sites in Brno and Žabčice. Single traits were evaluated in offspring of Jersey x Tadmor and Tadmor x Jersey. We evaluated growth, earliness, number of plants and plant height in vegetation. After harvest we specified grain color, starch content and nitrogen content on FT-NIR Nicolet Magna unit. Furthermore we measured weight of thousand seeds and total weight of harvested grains. Results showed a few genotypes, that proven better characteristics than parents. In Brno strain 1/28 excelled with high starch content similar to variety Jersey while conserving low rates of grain protein content.
Representational State Transfer a its support in programming language Java
Tran, Dac Ngoc Lam ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Šlajchrt, Zbyněk (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on explaining the term Representational State Transfer (REST) and its usage in the programming language Java. The first chapter introduces readers with the theoretical basis of REST, its presence in HTTP protocol and its pros and cons in general. The second chapter is dedicated to the application of principles mentioned in the first chapter. On two different programs, a client and a server, I go through the analysis and programming the REST layer. After this chapter, the reader should be able to link the theoretical knowledge with practical usage in Java. The content of the third chapter is mainly based on my experience gained during implemeting the sample applications. I compare two different frameworks for developing REST in Java -- Jersey and Restlet. I evaluate them according to different criterias, and in the end of the chapter I select the winner.
