In the practical part, there is basic information and data about the selected company. All data is provided by the company managing director. The accounting of the company, the valuation of inventories and the financial analysis of the company are described. The ABC method is applied in practical part, where the purchased inventories are divided into individual groups. Then the EOQ model is used on the specific items in group A. The end of the bachelor thesis describes a summary of the inventory management system evaluation. Proposals for changes are based on calculations from the practical part.
Inventory and logistics management
MÄRCOVÁ, Nikol
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of processes related to inventory and logistics. With regard to analysis of actual state of inventory management in a company Jihočeská zelenina trade s. r. o., options for optimization of logistics processes are presented. Optimization is focused on quantity of distribution lines and their costs and on potential merging of some of these distribution lines together and also on comparison of storage costs with costs for more frequent distribution. Furthermore, the hypothesis of total costs was calculated in a situation, where the cost for transport would be more expensive, but the purchase price of inventories, on the contrary, cheaper.
