Cooperation IRS system during an extraordinary event
ANDRLÍK, Vojtěch
In the theoretical part, I attempted to explain the functioning of the Integrated Rescue System components overall and separately, define some terms related to extraordinary events, determine competencies, and allocate tasks in the management of such interventions. I briefly described several selected extraordinary events from Czech and world history. I endeavored to explain the most commonly used systems for sorting the injured, the communication process at the scene of such interventions, how the lay public should behave when dealing with these events, and in the last chapter, I described some selected conditions from pre-hospital emergency care. In the practical part, I processed the acquired documents related to tactical exercises "Airport 2023" and "Holečkov 2023." The aim of this thesis was to identify possible complications arising from the management of extraordinary events and to explore the cooperation of Integrated Rescue System components during such events. I hope that I have achieved the specified objectives of the thesis in this work. The information presented in this thesis can serve as educational material for those interested in the issue. It can be used within the framework of qualification and lifelong education of emergency medical technicians and all Integrated Rescue System components.

Results of the research show that the readiness is on a low level with marginal part of the respondents. This thesis includes suggestions to be implemented into practice.
Rescue of people using climbing techniques and equipment
SMOLEN, Marek
In this bachelor's thesis, we pursue a topic of a rescue by climbing technics and gear. The thesis is divided into two parts, one is theoretical, and the other is practical. In the theoretical part, we focus on the components of the integrated rescue system (IRS), the material used for rescuing people with climbing and rope techniques, and the basic skills needed for this activity are described. There were 3 objectives set for this thesis: First was to investigate which IRS components participate in rescue of people using climbing techniques. Second objective was to investigate, how does the training of individual components take place, used gear and methodology. Last one was to investigate the improvisation of climbing techniques for rescuing people. All objectives were met. The practical part of the thesis was developed through qualitative research using semi-structured interviews. The research group was composed of 12 members of IRS pursuing the problematics of height and above free depth work. The research took place from January to April 2024. The collected data was analysed and divided into four categories (Basic information, Cooperation between components of IRS, Material, methodology and training, Rescue by rope and climbing techniques in a daily life). 3 research questions were set: First question was investigating which components of IRS cooperate during rescue of people by climbing techniques. It was found that rope techniques are used by all IRS components. Second question was investigating the equipment used in rescue of people by climbing techniques. We found out that the equipment used in rescue by climbing techniques varies only in details, as doses the methodology. The training differs according to the needs of individual components. Last question was: What gear and technology can be used in improvised rescue? Here it turned out, it always depends on the specific situation, skills and equipment of the unit and that this knowledge can be applied at any time. This work may be beneficial to improve the cooperation between individual IRS components. Or it could be used to give to public the idea of the problematics of a rescue by climbing techniques.
