Paulíková, Veronika ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Rovná, Lenka (referee)
The immigration has became the main topic in many western countries during several past years. This thesis focuses on immigration policy of the United Kingdom, where immigration represents 12,5 % of the whole population. Namely it deals with immigration policy during the premiership of David Cameron in the years 2010 to 2015. This topic is relatively recent, therefore has not been sufficiently explored. Moreover, attention is usually focused on integration policy; as a consequence thesis should contribute to mapping of actual immigration policy in the United Kingdom. This thesis examines which specific changes in immigration policy have been introduced by the government of David Cameron. Immigration policy is analyzed on base of the new Immigration Act and other documents which amended new law, then on the reforms of visa policy. The main objective of the analysis is to map immigration policy of David Cameron and reveal the specific steps taken by the government. The thesis also examines whether the development of immigration policy changes are applied to all immigrants from non-EU countries, or only to a certain type of immigrants. It also rates the achievement of stated goals of the Conservative Party.

The Integration policy od Germany on the Example of the Immigration Act "Zuwanderungsgesetz" and its Amendment
Ksiazkiewiczová, Pavla ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Dimitrov, Michal (referee)
The study analyses the first German comprehensive Immigration Act "Zuwanderungsgesetz" which was adopted in 2004 and its amendment from 2007. The most important goal of this act is the possibility of integration for immigrants into major society. The aim of this analysis is to find out how the Immigration act changed German integration policy. The main issue is whether the German approach is multiculturalist or assimilationist. Research criterions of this study were defined based on the most important parts of the law - the integration of immigrants, their access to the labour market and family immigration. The law is analysed within these criterions together with political parties' opinions. The main part of the study is divided into two chapters. The first chapter analyses the Immigration Act from 2004 and the second one is focused on the act's amendment from 2007. Both of them show the path to the law and analyse the act from the perspective of the three criteria, how the legislation changed and what the opinions of the political parties were.

Fenclová, Eva ; Konrád, Ota (advisor) ; Mlsna, Petr (referee)
The aim of this study is to analyze the German approach to the issue of immigrants' integration. I look at this problem from the point of view of a new legislative framework. This work should show how immigration laws influenced local integration policy. The law had great ambitions to improve the situation regarding the integration of immigrants. I am trying to discover its qualities but also to identify its drawbacks. First, there is outlined a problematic situation that led to the adoption of this law. There is described the situation and circumstances under which the law originated. Since the very first measure dealing with issues of integration, I show how specific solutions of supporting the integration of immigrants the law offers. I analyzed the form of a pro-active integration policy, which was established by this Act. The greatest attention was paid to linguistic integration. The Act established partially compulsory integration courses to promote the integration. Finally, I try to show the problems that Germany must deal with concerning the application of the statutory provisions. I try to show what problems are associated with the implementation of integration courses. Based on the analysis of immigration law, I try to prove which concept of integration policy towards which Germany is...
