Skyté periodicity v interpolovaných signálech a jejich derivacích
Saic, Stanislav ; Mahdian, Babak
Many applications like, texture analysis, image registration, etc., are based on interpolation. Therefore, without the detailed knowledge of how the statistics of the signal is changed by the interpolation process, applications based on statistical approaches working with interpolated signals or with their derivatives can yield miscalculations and unexpected results. Therefore a detailed knowledge about the changes brought into the signal by interpolation could be critical. Sometimes, there exists a need to examine whether a signal has been interpolated.
Zpracování snímků výbrusů za účelem 3d rekonstrukce pórovitých materiálů
Hejtmánek, Vladimír ; Čapek, P. ; Brabec, Libor ; Zikánová, Arlette ; Kočiřík, Milan
The technique of electron microscopy in SEM/BSE work modes was compared for the purpose of porosity estimation of some porous materials such as potential membrane supports on the basis of a-alumina. To prepare casts, an individual samples were impregnated by epoxide resin AralditO under high vacuum. Every cast was cut, grinded and polished to achieve its smooth face for observation by means of electron microscopy.
Statistické zpracovani obrázku plazmatického prouděni pro vizualizace nestabilit
Chumak, Oleksiy
The structure and stability of a thermal plasma jet were studied on the basis of statistical analysis of images of a plasma jet taken by a fast shutter camera. The space distribution of the mean value and the standard deviation of image brightness were evaluated from a sequence of images. The short exposure time ensured imaging of the momentary state of the jet while analysis of a sequence of images provided information about jet fluctuations. Effect of arc current was investigated. Arc power increase led to higher fluctuations of the jet, although it caused increase of the jet length.

Kysela, Bohuš ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Ditl, P.
Measurement of particle settling velocity changes in ultrasound field performed by image analysis.
Simulink jako nástroj pro vývoj rekonfigurovatelných aplikací
Kovář, Bohumil ; Schier, Jan ; Zemčík, P. ; Herout, A. ; Beran, V.
Our paper focuses on rapid prototyping and configuration tools for an embedded system. It will present novel concept of an image processing architecture based on interconnection of a programmable logical chip (FPGAs) with digital signal processor (DSP). In the paper, we shall outline a configuration tool tailored towards systems combining both DSP and FPGA, based on a configuration/programming scripting language and with a complex library of functions and modules for selected applications in signal and video processing.
Processing of CT images to solve biomechanical problems of locomotive organs
Nagy, Ivan ; Husták, Josef
This paper includes two methods of image segmentation, the first based on histogram separation and the second based on edge detector algorithm. These methods are compared on their advantages and disadvantages.
Image processing of CT and MRI data for biomechanical applications
Nagy, Ivan
In the case of image processing to obtain the geometry of tissues means an image segmentation. A segmentation is a process subdividing an image into its constituent parts or objects. There are some basic ways to achieve this. For detecting intensity discontinuities (borders) edge detectors are used. They can be implemented as approximate mathematical gradient operators or derivative operators. This paper prasents comparison of edge detectors on a set of CT images of human body.
Graphic filter library implemented in CUDA language
Peroutková, Hedvika ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Sedláček, David (referee)
This thesis deals with the problem of reducing computation time of raster image processing by parallel computing on graphics processing unit. Raster image processing thereby refers to the application of graphic filters, which can be applied in sequence with different settings. This thesis evaluates the suitability of using parallelization on graphic card for raster image adjustments based on multicriterial choice. Filters are implemented for graphics processing unit in CUDA language. Opacity and image merging mode can be set for filters. Various types of filters were implemented like histogram, color, convolution filters and others. Within the frame of this thesis a graphic user interface was developed, which enables filter applying and setting for chosen image, measuring time needed for filter changes and saving final image.
Image classification on the web
Daráni, Jakub ; Rauch, Jan (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
This thesis is dealing with image classification on the web. According to the thinking about possibilities how to classify images and suggestion of features contents theory of image processing and classification. This theoretical knowledge is used by development of the software with original algorithms (image segmentation, image correlation). Using training set, estimated features values and Weka software a classifier is developed. This classifier is implemented, tested on testing set and reviewed.
