Hypermedia educational program Halogen chemistry and its use in chemistry education of gifted pupils
Teplý, Pavel
In my dissertation, I dealt with the problem of education of gifted pupils in chemistry. I particularly focused at a detailed search in this scientific field, problems identification and suggesting as well as realisation of possible solutions. All the particular aims specif ied in the introduction were gradually accomplished. A survey among high school chemistry teachers (in the form of questionnaires) showed that there neither is a sufficient attention paid to the gifted pupils education in the Czech Republic, nor the prospective teachers are systematically prepared for this role. There are also consequent problems with gifted pupils curriculum differentiation, which most teachers consider to be more suitable for the gifted pupils education than a (lepší asi their?) segregation and separate education. Teachers lack a sufficient amount of enough information about curriculum differentiation (individual approach) and educational software, suitable and avaiable for the education of gifted pupils. On the basis of this survey, reserch results and my own experience in this field, I designed and created a hypermedia teaching aid as a XHTML program. The main theme was "Halogen chemistry", because of its universal relevance. The main purpose of this ...

Hypermedia and interactive journalism
SKLENIČKOVÁ, Kateřina
The onset of digital technologies in the late 1990s significantly influenced the nature of production, distribution and consumption of journalistic content: the emergence of Internet has forced print and audiovisual media to go digital and transfer their content online; journalism has embraced the multimedia phenomenon; the so-called citizen or participatory journalism emerged; the traditional, mostly one-way communication has changed to all-to-all communication in many ways; a number of hypermedia and significantly interactive projects balancing on the boundary between journalism, documentary and activism have appeared. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate these key trends and to describe the basic characteristics of the new media journalism. The first part summarizes the basic features of academic reflection of these trends; the second part introduces some selected on-line projects which represent the stated trends.
