Špaček, Filip ; Doležalová, Eva (advisor) ; Kubín, Petr (referee)
v angličtině The bachelor thesis "John of Luxembourg - his way to the throne and the beginning of his reign" describes the circumstances under which John of Luxembourg ascended to the throne of the Czech lands and provides insight into diplomatic negotiations leading to his election and his marriage to Elizabeth of Bohemia. Furthermore, I will focus on the development of the relationships between John and the Bohemian nobility up to his loss of interest in ruling over the Czech lands and his turn to foreign policy. The objective of the work is to provide a faithful personal portrait of the controversial monarch, in whom many put their hopes, in a period from the beginning of his reign to the revolt of the Bohemian burgher patricians against him.
