Ebola as a medical and social problem

Introduction: The aim of bachelor thesis is about the preparedness of health care facilities. The unexpected epidemic of Ebola 2014 in West Africa has become an international concern and the preparedness of health care facilities, prevention and control of this disease have become a major issue of concern. Methodology: For the development of the thesis, we chose a qualitative method, a form of research was an interview. The questions were designed in our own creation. The interview was conducted by epidemiological workers in surveyed health care facilities. The main objective of the research was to determine, what the methodologies in health care facilities are during admission and stay of a patient with Ebola. Results: From our analysis, the survey indicates that the organizational structure of hospital care ensures that patient with Ebola are handled according to the Government decree no. 15/2013 and health care facilities proceed according to the directive for unified procedure. In the development of an extraordinary incident, this is subjected to the International Health regulations in relation to the occurrence of highly dangerous infectious diseases in a health care facility. Medical house in Hustopeče.

This diploma thesis medical house in Hustopece deals with a design and project documentation for construction health facilities in Hustopece. Object is used to provide a daily patient care. There are nine private medical facilities of various specializations, pharmacy and optics. Object with its proposal allows wheelchair access. This is a hasnot four-storey building. Structure consists of monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton with stiffening walls, footings based and passports. internal unsound are designed from the drywall. Building roof is flat, edging attic.

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Health Care Facilities

The aim of the thesis is to map out the possibilities of measuring the effectiveness of health care facilities and a practical example of the one found methods to use. In the introduction there are explained the terms efficiency and effectiveness. The next section describes the specifics of health care facilities in terms of their performance and the economy. Options of measuring efficiency in health care are identified mainly through literature. Detailed view of a practical part is dedicated to the modern method of measuring the effectiveness the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In the practical part using the chosen tools is evaluated the effectiveness of a sample of hospitals. The conclusion summarizes the possibilities of measuring the effectiveness and assesses the benefits of using DEA.

Injuries of the residential social service population, causes, prevention.

The thesis is focused on health and injuries in nursing homes and health care facilities and their prevention. Given that accidents cause high morbidity and mortality of the elderly, it is important to think about prevention and the search for the causes of these accidents. The main objective of the empirical part of the study was to determine the causes of clients accidents in social and medical facilities and compare both types of facilities. For research in the empirical part of this work has been used quantitative research strategy, method of questioning techniques of data collection questionnaire. Research has shown that 87% of respondents suffer from musculoskeletal diseases. 44% of respondents, women more often than men, had received the fall and subsequent hospitalization. The thesis may help to understand the issues of accidents of the elderly and health effect on the quality of people's life living in health and social care facilities.

The thesis deals with examples, describe and comparison of objects of health care facilities. It solves their issues, technical requirements for their operation and individual laws and notices, which they have to follow. It also deals with reconstruction of chosen health care facility and important legislative requirements for reconstruction of ground objects. Next there are mentioned possibilities of funding health care facilities in Czech republic.
