Production of Gypsum Blocks from Chemogypsum

The thesis is oriented on manufacture of gypsum partition block made from chemogypsum and in continuation on previous research of institute of technology of building materials and components is aimed on optimization of raw material basis. The first part of the task is dedicated to a theoretical knowledge in the field of gypsum binders and their use in manufacture of gypsum block, study of standard requirement and recherché of development so far. Second part is focused on design of optimized formulas and their modification with various additive and on calculating of production costs.

The thesis is oriented on development of gypsum elements as part of a complex partition system in continuation of high – valuable gypsum plaster development. The first part of the task is dedicated to a theoretical knowledge in the field of gypsum binders, especially is focused on their application in manufacture of gypsum partition block and study of standard requirement. Second part is focused on designing of the trial mold, pouring of the block and assessment of gained data.

The aim of the present thesis is to investigate manufacturing of gypsum binders which are used for gypsum blocks production. In the theoretical part study of general theory of gypsum binders was done and then also summary of knowledge of gypsum partition blocks was explored, primary with respect to the norm requirements, including description of the testing methods of basic experiments. The main part presents research about manufacturing of gypsum blocks in selected international companies. The experimental part deals with optimization of current pilot production form, proposal of new recipes, making of blocks, determination of main technological properties and comparison with norm requirements. Finally recommendation for the future development in the field was proposed.
