Using fuzzy clustering in modelling of hardened concrete properties
Haluska, Lukáš ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Misák, Petr (advisor)
Compressive strength is one of the most monitored parameter of hardened concrete and it is usually determinated by destructive testing. Non-destructive testing applied on existing constructions uses regression analysis to estimate compressive strength. High variability of outputs and eventually failure of necessary requirements for using regression analysis complicate these methods. The aim of this thesis is to show posibility of using fuzzy clustering in this topic and to compare outputs with classic methods.
Fuzzy Markov chains and their use in risk management
Šindelková, Petra ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Misák, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the application of Markov chains for the production of concrete products. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the concepts of risk management and describes the procedures for dealing with classical Markov chains. There are presented basics of fuzzy logic and finally there is explained the procedure using fuzzy logic in calculating of classical Markov chains in the subsection entitled Fuzzy Markov chains. The practical part describes production process, namely concrete pavements. On this production process is applied knowledge from the theoretical part and there is a comparison and evaluation of two methods of Marcov chains calculation (classic and fuzzy approach).
Fuzzy logic methods for the risk assessment
Kovář, Kamil ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Misák, Petr (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals about problematic of fuzzy logic, fuzzy sets and operation with them. Also thesis describing procedure of quantification risks through fuzzy sets, process of fuzzyfication, defuzzyfication a theirs application in the expert systems FMEA and FMECA. Using selected chapters of czech states standards are established critical areas in building process, it is a chapters about quality, safety and environment. With these areas by using fuzzy sets theory are created the procentual input values in the decision program, created by Matlab. Output from program is decision how big the risk rate is and if is necessarily make corrective measures. A concrete example is the production of concrete goods, describing production process and composition of fresh concrete. A practical example, created by using information from real company, is a decision about the risk rate in the qualitative area.
The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluation of Quality of Customers
Jílek, Stanislav ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the use of fuzzy logic to evaluate the quality customers of the company TILL Ltd. The evaluation is done using Microsoft EXCEL and MathWorks MATLAB, using the main attributes and characteristics of customers. The thesis results are clear and functional fuzzy models that can be used to effectively evaluate potential and existing customers.
The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Rating of Suppliers
Pokorný, Tomáš ; Bačík, Lukáš (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of models for rating of suppliers in public procurement tender. Describes used methods and procedures for the rating of suppliers using fuzzy logic and fuzzy sets. The goal is to design a functional and comprehensible model, possible to use repeatedly with small variations.

Švik, Matěj ; Štěpánková, Vladěna (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with the evaluation of costemers of selected company using fuzzy logic. Designed fuzzy system allows firm to evaluate individual costemers and serves as a support for decision-making.
The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm
Šeda, Martin ; Pilát, Pavel (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with the evaluation of suppliers of selected company using fuzzy logic. Designed fuzzy system allows firm to evaluate individual offers and serves as a support for decision-making.
The Use of Means of Artificial Intelligence for the Decision Making Support in the Firm
Balada, Matěj ; Ing.Lenka Havránková (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the issues of utilization of artificial intelligence resources for decision-making support in company and is focused on detection of the client’s solvency for the purposes of loan providing. Fuzzy logic, expert systems and analysis in MS Excel are used here.
The use of the fuzzy set theory and their extensions in the TOPSIS method
Pokorný, Tomáš ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
This master's thesis deals with extensions of TOPSIS method, which is one of methods for multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives. These extensions use theory of fuzzy sets (FS) and their futher extensions to interval-valued (IVFS), intuitionistic (IFS) and hesitant (HFS) fuzzy sets and their combinations (IVIFS, IVIHFS). Significant part of this thesis explains the principle of fuzzy sets and their generalizations. Descriptions of operators for aggregations of grades of membership has very important role here. Next, very short description of multi-criteria evaluation problems and detailed description of TOPSIS method are contained. The second half of this thesis is dedicated to four existing extensions of TOPSIS metod that uses theories of FS, IVFS, IVIFS and IVIHFS. Every method is illustrated with an example that shows principle of calculations. It illustrates new possibilities of the methods that use new sets theories and potential complications and deviations from the original TOPSIS method. At the end of this thesis, evaluation of usefulness of used approaches is mentioned.
Fuzzy Methods in Land Use Modeling for Archaeology
Machálek, T. ; Cimler, R. ; Olševičová, K. ; Danielisová, Alžběta
The general objective of our research is to develop the complex agentbased simulation of ancient Celtic society population, food production and economics. To achieve this we proposed the agent-based agricultural model of land suitability for miscellaneous farming systems. The behaviour of agents is controlled by a fuzzy rule-based system. The system encodes farmers' agricultural knowledge as regards the decision where to apply specific farming method. Corresponding linguistic variables describe (1) the distance of individual land patches from the household, (2) the slope of the land, (3) the yield of individual land patches and (4) total harvest as a percentage of inhabitants' annual nutritional requirement. To prevent high-frequency spatial changes in land suitability caused by time-dependent stochastic nature of the crop yields, our model performs result smoothing using spatial signal filtering.
