Augustin Komanec (1885-1953)

This thesis deals with the life story of Augustin Komanec, dean of Slaný, a man standing among many other anonymous priests who were persecuted for their firm human and Christian attitudes towards the Church and its bishops in the early 1950's. Augustin Komanec was one of those tried by the totalitarian communist regime in fabricated trials. He was not sentenced to death, nevertheless the stiffness of the punishment led to the ultimate sacrifice. He died soon after he had been sent to the communist prison in Mírov. Based on documents available, the work presents Komanec's both civil and clerical life from 1885 to 1948 and then from the communist coup to his death in 1953. The aim of the work is to present the destiny of this brave person, who refused to give in to the totalitarian power and who represented the real enemy of this power: the Church, courageous and free.

The Society of Saint Pius X

9 Summary The SSPX is a society of Roman Catholic priests, who aren't organized in any religious order, however, it's organization is similar to many religious orders. As its mission the SSPX consider the defense of a catholic priesthood, the Tridentine Mass and the true doctrine of the Church against danger, which supposedly affected the Church after the Second Vatican Council. The SSPX was established in 1970 and its center became Ecône Seminary in Switzerland. Hereafter, a wider informal group of Catholics, who were unsatisfied with an evolution of the Church, formed around the Society. The members of this group attended masses, celebrated by SSPX priests. This group had united more after a breakup between the SSPX and superiors of the Catholic church, which was caused by an illicit ordinations of a priests and following excommunication of a founder, archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, and his nearest fellows in 1988. From that point, these believers are forming to some kind of congregations similar to parishes, but which are unofficial and improvised. These activities, as well as a sacraments celebrated by SSPX priests, are unacceptable in a catholic canon law system (however, these sacraments are valid, if they were already celebrated!). The symbol of time - "patriotic" priest Josef Plojhar

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compose biographical essay of the life of catholic priest Josef Plojhar, from his childhood to the beginning of fifties in the 20th century. Up to now unknown sources will be employed and with regard to absence of sources' platform partly oral historical sources will be used. I will follow his personal life, social situation of his family, problematic question of his germanization, career as a priest and consequential transformation to the profane sphere, the years in concentration camps and the years after 1945.

Summary: Překlad a výklad MaHaRaLova responsa ve věci nadlerismu. Translation and Commentary on MaHaRaL's Responsum to an Issue of Nadlerism. Channa Šimonová Even 400 years after writing Maharal's Netivot olam his challenge to responsibility and fortitude is still current. My purpose was to translate Jisrael's enquiry and Maharal's response. I do not seek a exhaustive analysis Maharal's teaching's. I seek a most authentic translation. This I want get with my notes and interpretation. In the text I see three kind of literal styles: 1) poetical passages, which I do not poeticize, however they are still outstanding attribute of rabbinical correspondence, 2) "agadic" passages, which are ideal both for translation and interpretation, 3) halachic - juridical passages, which I interpret structurally. I hope, that I redound with my diploma thesis to extend awareness of Maharal's work.
