Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa: the platform of the cross-border cooperation on the base of Small Project's Fund example

Submitted diploma thesis is dedicated to cross-border cooperation and the Small Project's Fund in the area of Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa. The first aim is the analysis of projects from the SPF for the programming period since 2007 to 2013. The second aim of this thesis is to approve that Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa (czech section) is convenient platform for the cross-border cooperation. First, analysis of SPF confirmed that ERN (only czech section) is a significant player. Second, Czech-Polish border revealed the highest number of realized projects and also the highest financial resources used. Concerning the role of ERN in cross-border cooperation it was confirmed that the ERN is convenient platform for cross-border cooperation and also a responsible administrator of the SPF. In the theoretical section this thesis deals with the border phenomenon, the cross-border cooperation and the euroregions in general. Cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse

The diploma thesis deals with cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse. The Cross-border cooperation is one of the most interesting forms of regional cooperation. Theoretical part of thesis discusses basic terms, history of CBC and its development and importance in regional policy of the European Union, the development of Euroregions and the financing possibilities of CBC in the Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse, which is the oldest Euroregion in the Czech Republic. The attention is paid mainly to projects implemented in the tourism. Euroregion Neisse has very favourable natural and cultural-historical assumptions for development of tourism. The objective is to evaluate cooperation in tourism in the context of cross-border cooperation in 2007-2013.
Cross-border cooperation in Euroregion Nisa

Cross-border cooperation is an important instrument of European integration. The thesis deals with cross-border cooperation within euroregions, more precisely in the oldest Czech Euroregion Nisa. The objective of this thesis is to find asymmetries in the cooperation of the Czech part with the German and Polis hone, and how these asymmetries are reflected in realized projects. The thesis comes to a conclusion that the three parts of Euroregion Nisa are different when it comes to economic potential, and that the projects almost do not deal with the most pressing problems. Another conclusion is the existence of an asymmetry in cooperation, i.e. absence of common trilateral projects.

Cross-border cooperation of Euroregion Neisse Analysis by EGTC

Thesis in its theoretical part deals with cross-border cooperation and analyzes a new legal instrument at EU level - European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). The work describes the instrument, including the establishment of a legal basis. It also deals with the potential use of the EGTC, which focuses on the permanent structure for cross-border cooperation, ie. Euroregions and make a summary of the EGTC already developed within the European Union. The practical part focuses on a description of the Euroregion Neisse, who ordered the creation of a legal entity as one of the main objectives and is currently in the process of preparing the establishment of an EGTC. This section is in addition to the characteristics of the Euroregion analysis of individual steps in the creation, use specific options on the EGTC and the comparison with existing legal entities within the EU. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the EGTC and determine whether it has the potential for the development of the Euroregion Neisse.
