Analysis of water age in the low pressure sewer network
Kolková, Hana ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of water age in the low pressure sewer network. I focus more on three major issues caused by the age of water – corrosion, gases in the pipeline, deteriorated water quality. The thesis is also focused on computer programs, that are able to simulate the low pressure sewer network and analyze the age of water in it. The practical part of the thesis is focused on a particular example of low pressure sewer network that consists two sections in the town of Podhradí nad Dyjí. I evaluate the results according to the standarts CSN EN 1671.
Assessment of a selected part of the water supply network
Mrázek, Jan ; Dvořák,, Pavel (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to research the field of water distribution system monitoring and modeling such system. In the next section the thesis describes a part of the water distribution system which is located in Pardubice district, specifically south of town Přelouč. With knowledge from the done research a hydraulic model will be done. This model made in EPANET interface will be calibrated and verified using data, which was acquired by the administrator of the system VAK Pardubice a.s. Afterwards new pipelines will be added to simulate the future situation accordingly to the area plans of the cencerned towns. Furthermore another aim is to simulate the requirements made towards the water distribution system in the future in case all the areas in area plan will be completely used. This will result into creation of forward looking hydraulic model which will show possible weaknesses of the water distribution system. In case of any shortcomings, according measures will be designed for future use.
Energy recuperation in water delivery system
Pavlík, Šimon ; Rudolf, Pavel (referee) ; Himr, Daniel (advisor)
The thesis deals with the use of energy potential in water supply networks and is divided into three main parts. The first part describes the characteristic elements of the water supply network and analyses the energy potential of the Nové Bránice water supply system, which was identified in the location of the pressure reducing valve. The second chapter is devoted to designing algorithm according to which a system of energy recovery - a pump in turbine mode is designed. The statistical analysis is counted as well. In this chapter, the theory of pump in turbine mode operation and the prediction theory of turbine characteristic estimation are presented. The final part of the thesis is devoted to creating a water network model in Epanet 2.2. In one day simulations the current state of the system with a pressure reducing valve is compared with the system including the proposed pump in turbine mode.
Assessment and Optimization of the Hrubá Skála Water Supply System
Zikudová, Markéta ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to perform a hydraulic analysis of the existing water supply network Hrubá Skála – Radvánovice. The thesis is divided into several parts. The introductory chapter describes the purpose and objectives of the thesis. The second part presents general information about drinking water supply with a focus on pressure conditions on the network. The third part describes the mathematical modelling of water supply networks. The fourth part of the thesis describes in detail the individual objects on the Hrubá Skála – Radvánovice and Doubravice networks. It also provides information regarding the network recovery plan. The fifth chapter provides basic calculations and models the current state of pressures on water pipes in winter/summer and also according to information provided by the operator. The sixth chapter deals with five variants of the network recovery solution, where each variant is given a design, model and subsequent evaluation of this variant. At the end of the sixth chapter, all variants are compared with each other.
