Sealing Diaphragm Walls
Kaderka, Jan ; Boštík, Jiří (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is history, the purpose to carry out diaphragm wall, types of the emplyoed technologies and specific examples of its application in practise. Part of this thesis will concantrate on the parametres of bonding agents and the grouting mixtures.
Preliminary study of the construction of a tram tunnel in Brno
Kuhajdik, Adam ; Janků,, Hynek (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The selection of a suitable tunneling technology within the territory of the town has an essential impact on behaviour of surrounding buildings. The thesis presents basic applicable methods. The selected method is simulated in a mathematical model whose input parameters are defined according to geotechnical investigation and by calculating from cone penetration test. Furthermore, the thesis deals with parametric comparisons of a constructional element in dimensioning, horizontal and vertical shift of this element and simplified comparison of steel and concrete prices. This thesis also contains re – comparison of construction behaviour within a model with real deformations which are measured using an inclinometer in situ.
The analysis of the methods for the sealing of embankments and their sub-base using cut-off walls
Kachtík, Michal ; Rainer, Vít (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is a survey of possible diaphragm walls technologies applied in water management. The analysis of materials used for their construction, their function and structural arrangement are studied as well. The summary and final evaluation of particular technologies is mentioned in the end of the thesis.
The methods of implementation structures of the shallow underground structures
Vrána, Tomáš ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the first theoretical part, the bachelor thesis deals with the basic overview of the implementation methods of the shallow underground structures. It also mentions the most important elements used in the actual implementation. In the second practical part, the bachelor thesis deals with the case study.
School of Art Brno
Kousal, Petr ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The School of art is situated in a part of Brno-Kraví hora. Location of building is on the top of sloping land and structure is recessed in ground. Concept was built up on an central atrium, which is surrounded by exhibition area. The area is supplemented by sliding exhibition panels. Classrooms of each subject are placed in two wings. Both wings lie on the ground and forming exterior private space. Building also composes multipurpose hall and cafe. A lift was designed specially and connecting each floors. The lift goes on the top of level where tereace is. Every level of structure has green ascendible roof. Building facility establishes the structure which is made by diaphragm walls. Construction is build up by reinforced concrete skeleton. Steel-truss frame will be designed as another construction. The facade is made by combination of architectural concrete and glass areas. Space is separed by colored walls in the interior. The School of art will be visited by people of all age groups. Building facility is not only for habitents from Brno.

Mechanical properties of marine sediment near Koper and numerical modelling of a deep excavation
Tůma, Pavel ; Mašín, David (advisor) ; Miča, Lumír (referee)
Mechanical properties of marine sediment near Koper and numerical modelling of a deep excavation Engineering geological conditions near the port Koper in southwestern Slovenia forces geotechnical experts and civil engineers to solve problems in foundation various types of objects and purpose of the practice since the fifties of last century, when it began an intensive development of infrastructure of the port. The results of series of geological and geotechnical surveys, monitoring, and long experience with foundation in the local geology shows that it is almost always the 3rd geotechnical category, or foundation of complex structures in difficult geological conditions below the water table. The entire area belongs to Alpine-Dinaric tectonic area. The rock foundation is composed of complexes of flysch sediments Eocene age at which mounted files of recent marine sediments in the area widely submerged river valley fluvial sands and gravels. From the geotechnical point of view it is interesting site, where most buildings were based on a layer of soft marine sediments, where it is through the creation of special methods implemented in the establishment of deep-level endurable layers of gravel and sand of the river Rižana or at the level footingwall flysch. Set of marine sediments near the port Koper,...
