Kulková, Markéta ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Počtová, Lenka (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to provide pedagogical assistants and educators with an overview of diagnosis methods applicable in educational facilities. These methods might help them reveal cases of child abuse, neglect or maltreatment. The thesis is purely theoretical, designed to be subsequently put into practise. First, I have addressed the characteristics and manifestations of the CAN Syndrome. I have also described the current state of the problem and the newly discovered forms of child abuse, arisen due to inappropriate attitude of pedagogical workers and educational facilities towards their pupils. I have also dealt with the possibility of how to prevent the CAN Syndrome, describing high risk groups and situations. The final part deals with pedagogicalpsychological diagnosis and its methods, which is the central issue of my thesis. It addresses suitable techniques and methods applicable to detection of the CAN syndrome in educational facilities. Key words:
