Experimental electroacoustic musical instrument
Hrdlička, Matěj ; Dlouhý, Dan (referee) ; Indrák, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and construction of an experimental electroacoustic musical instrument inspired by analogue synthesizers from Dubreq -- stylophones. In contrast to the original stylophones, this Stylophone processes the audio signal in digital form. Stylophone contains two independent sound generators, which are two Arduino NANO development boards. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the historical development of the models of the original stylophones is described and the circuitry and sound generation method of the original Stylophone from 1968 is described. The practical part describes the circuit design, PCB, Arduino code and device construction. Also described are the different sounds generated by the instrument, their frequency analysis and a comparison of the sound character of the instrument with the sound analysis of the original Stylophone S1 from Dubreq. The last chapter of the thesis deals with the description of the techniques of playing the Stylophone and their notation.
Hardware Module for Interactive Control of Projects in PureData
Křivánek, Roman ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
In the work, there are basic theoretical information about the Arduino Uno R3 board. Then there are theoretical information about the components used. Furthermore, there is a chapter in the work where individual components are tested with the Arduino Uno R3 board. During the testing of the components, circuit diagrams and sample codes are provided to test the functionality of the components and modules. At the end of the work, there is a chapter on the design of the printed circuit board, which is the output of this work
Commissioning and expansion of an unfinished three-axis manipulator
Metz, Lukáš ; Králík, Jan (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
The objective of this theses is the development of the technological components needed for the commissioning of an unfinished three axis manipulator. That includes designing the control electronics, which will be mounted on a custom printed circuit board, development of needed firmware and software, and also the derrivation and implementation of the motor control logic. The fully functional manipulator will then be equiped with a digital microscope and a functioning focusing mechanism, which will provide the device with a possible utilization in laboratory settings.
Automation of the dispensing system and coffee registration of the coffee machine
Bleha, Martin ; Spáčil, Tomáš (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis's main objective is to establish the design and the implementation of a master control system for a coffee machine, as well as the development of the supporting software. The system aims to be able to track coffee consumption for each user individually. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first and second chapters form the theoretical part of the thesis, which is a brief review of the coffee machine and Raspberry Pi platform used in the system realization. Chapters three to five form the practical part, which consists of the analysis of selected components of the coffee machine, the designed solution, and its implementation with the coffee machine.
Audio effect based on signal spectrum modification
Vejvoda, Zdeněk ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis describes the design and the engineering solution of a hardware electronic sound effect that is a mixture of a frequency shifter and a delay effect. Electronic music intruments, sound effects and particularly modular synthesizer of the Eurorack standard are introduced. The firmware, developed utilizing the Max Gen environment and running on an ARM chip, prompted an examination of the Max platform. Finally, the thesis explores the calculations and processes required to construct a fully functional effect module. The device was assembled, tested and measured.
Control board for educational laboratory stand
Cejpek, Miroslav ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This work deals with the design scheme and printed circuit boards for drives teaching laboratory Stand, for teaching at the Department of Power Electrical and Electronic VUT Brno.
Low-energy Security Device with (Espressif) ESP8266/ESP32 Module
Ondráček, Petr ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis discusses the design and realization of low-energy security device using Wifi module ESP32. The device will detect the opening of door/window/space by using magnetic contact and this event will be reported on appropriate cloud service and by e-mail. The theoretical part is focused on the Internet of Things problematics, cloud services and description of individual components of the final device. Second part of thesis is focused on designing of the linkage scheme, control program and calculation of power consumption of the device. Third part is already focused on practical realization of the designed device, designing and creation of printed circuit board and security box, programming, creation of the cloud channel that will visualize collected data and measurement of power consumption of the final device.
Production of Multilayer PCB
Janda, Ondřej ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis introduces the problematics of multilayer printed circuit boards. Theoretical part is focused on materials used for production of multilayer PCB and their parameters. At the same time, it focuses on the pressing process of multi-layered PCB, the types of presses used and their advantages and disadvantages. Practical part describes the methodology and testing of the PCB to identify the reliability of chosen electrical parameters. Testing is aimed to simulate thermal stress during machine soldering and during thermal stress in the target environment.
Image data segmentation using deep neural networks
Hrdý, Martin ; Myška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kiac, Martin (advisor)
The main aim of this master’s thesis is to get acquainted with the theory of the current segmentation methods, that use deep learning. Segmentation neural network that will be capable of segmenting individual instances of the objects will be proposed and created based on theoretical knowledge. The main focus of the segmentation neural network will be segmentation of electronic components from printed circuit boards.
Universal Tester of Radio Conditions for Narrowband IoT Communication Technology
Možný, Radek ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Technology Narrowband IoT is a representative LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) tech-nology that due to its promising features aims for demands of the Internet of Thingsapplications for autonomous data sending from sensors in areas of poor mobile coverage. For such applications, it is beneficial to firstly map properties of communication technol-ogy in areas of intended use and evaluate whether or not is this technology applicable. This Master thesis deals with the design of the hand-held measuring device for evaluationof Narrowband IoT properties. The output of this thesis is firstly comparison of LPWAtechnologies secondly, design of the mentioned device and verification of its functional-ity. And in last part description of measurement of transmission delay for delay-tolerantapplications. Transmission delay is a critical parameter for delay-tolerant applications.Such an application can be, for example, smart electrometers for which there is definedmaximal allowed transmission delay of 10 seconds and therefore it is desirable to evalu-ate whether or not is the deployment of the communication technology Narrowband IoTsuitable in the intended area for delay-tolerant or even for delay-intolerant applications.
