Movement games for children with visual disabilities in kindergarten
PEKAŘOVÁ, Anna
The bachelor thesis focuses on movement games for children with visual impairment in kindergarten. The aim of the thesis is to group theoretical knowledge on the chosen topic and based on the theoretical part to create a stack of movement games that can be used by special educators in kindergarten for children with visual impairment. A qualitative strategy is used to fulfill these goals. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the concept of visual impairment, its causes, the specifics of the development of a preschool child with visual impairment and then the preschool education and play itself, where the types of games or, for example, the rules to be followed during the game are written. The practical part contains a methodological procedure, which consists of a stack of movement games for children with visual impairment and can be used as inspiration for special educators in kindergartens. The methodological procedure is divided into four parts, with four movement games in each part, two movement games meant for the classroom and two games meant for outdoors. The methodological procedure, which contains four parts of four movement games, is divided according to the themes of the season, in example the first part concerns the theme of spring, the second part concerns the theme of summer. The third part deals with autumn and the last fourth part focuses on winter.
Creation of didactic aids and adaptation of teaching materials for children with visual impairment of preschool age
HOLMANOVÁ, Barbora
The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of didactic aid and adaptation of teaching materials for children with visual impairments of preschool age. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to gather an adequate theoretical base for the chosen topic and on its basis to process an overview of the modification principles and creation of didactic aids and teaching materials for children with visual impairments of preschool age. A partial goal of the bachelor thesis is the practical creation of a didactic aid (in this case it is a didactic book) and its subsequent evaluation in pedagogical practice. The didactic book is intended for a particular boy with a specific visual impairment who attends a kindergarten for visually impaired children. The book is designed to accomplish the basic requirements of a tactile book - to develop the child's tactile perception and fine motor skills. The book focuses on general development - pre-mathematical literacy, sequence and recognition of basic colors. At the same time, the book should educate the child in a non-violent way and be fun for the child, or as they say: "Learning through play".

WILLMANNOVÁ, Michaela
Bachelor's thesis entitled 'A visually impaired student in the educational system'; a retrospective case study deals with the process of integrating a visually impaired boy into the mainstream of pre-school and primary education. The bachelor's thesis aims to develop an appropriate theoretical basis for the issue of education of visually impaired children and on this basis in the design of a case study to describe and analyse the educational background of a visually impaired student. The thesis is structured into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the basic circuits related to the topic of visual impairment. The first chapter of the theoretical part defines a child and a student with visual impairment and the concept of visual impairment and its classification. The second chapter describes the specifics of the development of a visually impaired child in the field of cognitive functions, motor skills, and socialization. The last chapter deals with the education of visually impaired children in general. The practical part is focusing on a detailed description of the inclusive process of a visually impaired child in mainstream kindergarten and primary school. It points out the aid measures and their use in education. Qualitative research was applied to fulfill the already mentioned goals. The research is based on observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Anamnestic data were processed in detail for the sake of completeness. The research found out that the choice of including a boy into mainstream education was a suitable option. It was also found that the boy was and is provided with maximum support from his parents and the socialization in his classroom was successful. On a practical level, the information can serve as feedback for the educational institution of an integrated visually impaired student. After appropriate formal and content adjustments, the text can be used for the processing of information material for the pedagogical and parental public.

Kůsová, Barbora ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on the support of early intervention in the inclusion of a visually impaired child into kindergarten. The work describes the development of a child with visual impairment at an early age. It also focuses on early care providing support to families with children with visual or combined disabilities, pre-school education and the support from a special education center. The aim of the work was to find out what is important for the parents of a visually impaired child when choosing a kindergarten, whether the inclusion is in accordance with the legislation and whether a multidisciplinary team participates in the support. As part of the research survey, qualitative research, aimed at monitoring family support for the inclusion of a visually impaired child in kindergarten by early care, was carried out. The results show that for families when choosing a kindergarten, it is most important to obtain information about the possibilities of including a child. Early intervention provides families with important information not only about the possibilities of inclusion, but also about the use of counseling services of a special pedagogical center. Activities for children with visual disabilities at pre-school age
HLADKÁ, Petra
The sense of sight is an important sense that provides people with the most important information about their environment. This means that every visual disorder has a strong influence on the life of people in a whole range of their activities. Therefore, it is essential to motivate purblind children already in the pre-school age to use their sense of sight in the most effective way. Thanks to a practice stay in two special nursery schools I was given a chance to get acquainted with problems of children with visual disorders. This field of the special pedagogy has interested me and I have decided to deal with it in my thesis called Games for children with visual disorders in pre-school age. The theoretical part opens with the basic fyziology of the organ of sight and the process of perception. The classification of child visual disorders and the education of pre-school visually impaired children are also presented in this chapter. The term "game", the classification of games and their meaning for the education and development of children with visual disorders are discussed as a part of the theory. In the second part of the thesis, physical activities that stimulate the visual perception and enable development of physical and manipulation skills of purblind children are suggested. A set of games covered with the topics "Winter fun" and "Fairy tales" was made for these purposes. The qualitative research method was chosen for the thesis. It enables to describe the proposed games in detail and to evaluate their impact in practice through the method of half-structured interview with teachers from two nursery schools. The last chapter of the thesis concludes with an analysis of the results and the evaluation of the proposed set of games in practice. The research shows that the children with visual disorders in the level of purblindness managed the games without any significant problems. When using appropriate aids and under appropriate safety conditions the children can take part in all physical activities as their intact peers.
Child with visual impairment in a mainstream kindergarten from the perspective of teachers
ŠMITMAJEROVÁ, Šárka
The topic of my bachelor´s work is called: "A child with a visual impairment in a common nursery school as viewed by teachers." The aim of the work is a detailed analysis of the common nursery schools´ preparedness for an acceptation of a child with a visual impairment. Within the analysis, it has been found out what the tecahers have been missing for the education or development of such impaired children, whether they have been lacking certain tools, didactic or compensational, whether the have been in a need of other support, and if so, what kind of support would that be. There in the theoretical part the visual impairment is defined, the most common visual impairments of pre-school children are classified as well as the view of the visual impartments issue as a whole is, and the development of the visual perception of children of up to the age of six. Further on, the usage of didactic and compensational tools is being described there. The issue of inclusion from the purview of our legislation as well as a clear list of consultancy services are also a part of the theoretical part. The practical part is based on a qualitative research. The method of semi-structured dialogues with teachers of selected common nursery schools in the South Bohemian region, mainly the České Budějovice area, has been used. The respondents have been working in public nursery schools and in one private. As the research has shown, the respondents have not been preparing for the acceptance of a child with a visual impairment, mainly for reasons of their common daily issues they have been solving (e.g. the adaptation of small, two-year-old children). Those who have had such a child in their class have been preparing for such situations by reading learnt literature pieces, having dialogues with the children´s parents and searching for relevant information on the internet. The children with visual impairments have had no more serious problems with socializing in the common nursery school. The research has further shown that the respondents consider the inclusion ill-considered, mainly due to a high number of children in classes, a needed individual approach and a lack of qualified assistants.
