Properties and the Use of Metal Foams
Křivánek, Robin ; Liškutín, Petr (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
In this thesis are summarized the findings of metal foams, with prevailing constraints on aluminum foam, because in them hides the greatest potential. The first part is described the production of porous materials, especially the way of floam production by thermal decomposition of floaming agent and melt gas injection. There are also written stress tests to gain a deeper knowledge of their properties, but also the latest exploring methods of foams, such as using a radioscopiy and CT scanner from which then creates a voxel model of foam. They are summarized here the basic ways of processing. Finally we must mention the possibility of using these materials with a focus on commercially produced foams Alporas® and Duocel®. Mass using foams mainly prevents high production costs and in some cases difficult reproducibility of properties.

Vidlák, David ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Main goal of this work is familiarization with basic features of absorption heat pumps and it’s growing importance on the market. In the first part of the work there is a research for clarifying facts associated with such pumps. In the introduction there are descriptions of basic information from the field of heating industry and its connections to our systems. Next there is a brief analysis of price changes in electricity and heat in the last five years. Main part of the analytical section is a description of the used absorption system. Second part of the work is focused on the calculation of the absorption system itself. First there is calculated internal and external part of the device according to the parameters from GE Power s.r.o. After this step there are parametric studies based on changes of key parameters of the default device for a demonstration of the behavior of a heating pump. In the end of the work there is a integration of the unit into the heating cycle for variations including flue gas condenser and using a cooling water from the turbine condenser.

Classification of asynchronous motors
Čala, Václav ; Dušek, Jiří (referee) ; Singule, Vladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a creation of a “Classification Document” of asynchronous motors with a short-circuit armature with axial heights of 355, 400, 450, 500, and 560 mm. Furthermore, it is concerned with a creation of an integral design documentation for the production and assembly of these motors at the company TES VSETÍN, s.r.o. By writing this diploma thesis I would like to achieve a simplification of communication with the customers during the processing of asynchronous motors orders and to speed up the processing of asynchronous motors orders not only in the design department but also the complete technologic preparation of the production which will surely be provided by this integrated documentation.
Lab power supply 0-100 V / 0-100 mA
Hanzl, Ondřej ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a laboratory source of atypical parameters of the voltage range 0 – 100 V and current 0 – 100 mA, which will be used for testing LEDs, measuring the reverse voltage and characteristics of Zener diodes of unknown data. The power supply will operate in linear mode, where the output part make up a power unipolar transistor controlled by a controlled bipolar transistor. The control section controlling this output stage is a closed control loop with two PI controllers, a differential amplifier and a controlled limiter. In the control circuit, the controllers are arranged in a cascade structure, where the voltage regulator is superior to the current one. Power supply is provided by 2 transformers, one for the power part and the other for the control part. All designed and assembled components will be then placed in a box equipped with a digital measuring device with display.
Kindergarten
Konečný, Patrik ; Bečkovský, David (referee) ; Bečkovská, Tereza (advisor)
The topic of the final diploma thesis is the design of project documentation for the permission to build a new kindergarten building, including ancillary buildings, in the passive standard. The project is divided into three parts, which also includes the design and optimization of other professions of the technical equipment in the building, so that the object meets the minimum requirements for fulfilling the title of passive environmentally advanced buildings. The building will be located in Brno-Vinohrady and is designed as a detached without a basement and with a flat green roof. The masonry in the entire building is designed from ceramics blocks, the envelope walls will be insulated using mineral wool. Roof structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. The foundations are designed as a cast-in-place concrete strip, on which there will be a cast-in-place concrete slab. Plastic-frame doors and windows with triple glazing are designed as well. The next part of the thesis is dealt with inner environment. Two ground-water heat pumps with boreholes are designed as a heating source for the building. The heat will be distributed via floor heating grids. The building will have mechanical ventilation, its efficiency against summer overheating will be increased by exterior blinds, which will be installed as a part of windows. In the last part of the thesis, where twas optional topic, is designed a drinking water supply and waste water disposal from the land, water distribution and sewerage inside the building and rainwater management system to maximize fresh water savings. Other materials of the diploma thesis that verify the condition of the building or additional information about the design, include calculations from building physics, a certificate of energy efficiency of the building or simulation outputs from various computer software.
Airconditioning in healthcare facilities
Růžička, Věroslav ; Jelínek, Ondřej (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design of air conditioning equipment serving the spaces of hospital inpatient ward and its associated facilities. Equipments designed in the computational part have the task to transport adapted fresh air to hospital premises. The system is devided into two units. Primary mechanism operates bedrooms and their sanitary facilities. Secondary mechanism operates associated facilities. Both mechanisms are designed so that hot air can ventilate in winter. To cover the heat load in summer, fancoil units are designed. Device number one is also able to manage the treatment of humidity. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on air filters and filtration of atmospheric air.
Use of thermally conductive non-metallic materials for cooling systems in automotive lighting technology
Zachar, Martin ; Makki, Zbyněk (referee) ; Vitkovič, Pavol (referee) ; Kotrbáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of non-metallic highly thermally conductive materials, more concrete-ly special plastic materials, enriched with highly thermally conductive additives, for the purpose of passive cooling of a given heat source. The thesis compares the effectivity of these heat sinks with the classically used materials, specifically aluminium. The thesis is divided into two main sections, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with a constantly growing need of LED (Light Emitting Diode) chips cooling in automotive head-lamps, where the new materials could be put into effect, analyses possible replacement of classic aluminium heat sinks with different materials with a significantly lower thermal conductivity and introduces problems of such materials. The practical part applies the problematic described in the theoretical one on the actually produced heat sinks, which are compared among themselves, with regard to their method of production, as well as with aluminium counterpart in different conditions. Furthermore, the problematic of de-signing a heat sink made from material which is characteristic for its highly anisotropic thermal con-ductivity is dealt with. The end of the thesis shows the importance of heat dissipation via radiation, which can have a great significance in case of plastic heat sinks and in a specific applications.
Filament Winding Machine
Dorňák, Michal ; Hampl,, Štěpán (referee) ; Foller, Bronislav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the proposal of solution of three-axial winding machine for winding technology of rotary profile. Winding materials are continual springs of carbon, aramid or glass fibre impregnated by resin. The main construction change of the machine compared to commercial available solutions is the use of linear motor as a frame element instead of roller screws or toothed chain. Linear motors have higher dynamics of the movement and they can reach higher speed compared to other solutions, which guarantee increase of the machine productivity. The main importance is put not only on the functionality but also on the low price of this solution. The 3D model of the mechanism is created in the program Inventor 2009.
