Change in the durability of concrete made of recycled concrete by alternative addition of ceramic admixtures
Stavař, Tomáš ; Hoffmann, Oldřich (referee) ; Stehlík, Michal (advisor)
The master thesis dealing with problematic about durability of concrete, with use of recycled concrete and addition of silica additions. Predominant for resistance of concrete constructions is surface layer, through which aggressive gasses and liquids penetrate from surrounding environment. The most important indicator of concrete durability is ability of surface layer transmissions of aggressive substants. In experimental part will be defined the actual state of surface layer by normal testing methods. The transmissions of surface layer will be tested on concrete cubes. Tests for transmissions of air (method TORRENT), of water (method ISAT), of acid gases (dept of carbonation by quick test in 98% CO2) will be carried out and also strength tests. Assessment of positive or negative influence of additions and amount of cement on durability and mechanical properties of concrete will be discussed in conclusion.
Construction and demolition waste
Šmídová, Denisa ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the amount of construction and demolition waste on two-storey flat-roofed houses. It is based on legislation that comes into force this year. The data processing methodology proposes a procedure to determine the amount of demolition waste on a construction site. The breakdown of waste types is proposed according to the expected acceptance of this waste in recycling centres or landfills. The budget for the new construction of the building is used to analyse this quantity. The identified quantity of construction and demolition waste is related to the floor area and the built-up area of the building. The analysis of the amount of waste in the demolition of a building is complemented by a practical example, including a comparison of the current methodology.
Circular economics in construction
Tatarin, Tomáš ; Marek, Martin (referee) ; Krejza, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis Circular Economy in Construction is to map the sources of primary raw materials and the production of recyclates in the context of construction production and to perform a price and geographical analysis. The extension of the principles of circular economy is set in the context of the now widespread linear economy. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the circular economy and the possibilities of recycling construction waste. The practical part then analyses the current state of production of minerals key to the construction industry, the current production of construction recyclates, the possibilities of increasing recycling and increasing the applicability of the essence of the circular economy. The paper concludes with a summary of the results of the analysis and possible improvements.
Recycling machines for processing small amounts of inert mineral construction and demolition waste
Hroch, Tobiáš ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is critical research of existing technical solutions of machines for the processing of construction and demolition waste and the conceptual design of a small crushing machine. The review includes both a general analysis and a description of specific machines. The conceptual part elaborates the design of a small mobile crushing machine including the actual justification, strength check and overall equipment assembly.
Legal regulation of construction waste management in the context of the circular economy
Prucek, Jan ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Fabšíková, Tereza (referee)
The thesis deals with the legal regulation of construction and demolition waste as a specific group of waste, especially with regard to its placement in the context of the concept of circular economy. In addition to the current state of this topic, the historical development of the legislation is presented, as well as the individual methods of construction waste management and related institutes and entities governed by this legislation are defined. The thesis has an introduction, four chapters, each of which presents the individual topics in detail, and a conclusion. The first chapter introduces the concept of circular economy, its development and legal anchorage, as well as its basic principles. The chapter also defines the concept of waste management, going beyond this to present its hierarchy and basic objectives. The second chapter analyses the development of waste legislation with a focus on construction and demolition waste and in addition presents the strategic documents of waste management, which are the Waste Management Plans. The third chapter is devoted to the object and entities of the legislation, i.e. construction and demolition waste, and waste in general, and the persons involved in waste management. For construction and demolition waste, the emphasis is on its definition and...
Využití odpadů při výstavbě pozemních staveb
ŠIRMEROVÁ, Karolína
This thesis focuses on utilization of waste during buildings construction. The first part of the thesis encompasses a literature search that describes basic information about waste, such as types of waste and its origination. Further, it describes the EU Protocol regarding handling of construction and demolition was-te, waste utilization during construction, problematics of hazardous waste, and han-dling of waste in EU countries. For interest, included is also a description of houses built from waste materials, eg. Earthship. The second half focuses on practical aspects. It includes information about a selected section of highway D3, the process of construction of highway D3, and the proposal for utilization of recycled materials in highway components. Next, are calculations and information about availability of recycled materials.
