Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union: selected issues

The Common Agricultural Policy of the EU is one of the most important policies of the EU. The CAP is primarily engaged in providing sufficient food production, export and import of agricultural products, in development and innovation of the agriculture, rural development and in the improvement of living and working of the agricultural workers. The EU CAP was created to coordinate the different agricultural priorities of the member states and to find the optimal form of cooperation beneficial for the agriculture of the all participating states. The Common Agricultural Policy has been constantly evolving. Its coordination and functioning requires considerable financial costs and extensive legislative action. Currently, it is a very actual and important topic, that is why the CAP is the subject of this thesis. The aim of this thesis is to describe the EU Common Agricultural Policy from its inception to the present, to define its main problems and then to define perspectives for the future development and implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy. Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union and its future

This bachelor thesis is focused on Common agricultural policy of the European Union.It is studiyng the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union regarding to its planned reform which is going to be applied from 2014. At first the thesis descirbes the most important moments in the development of this policy, its actual form and problems, which it has in the present. Then the thesis finds out for which states and types of agricultural enterprises is the current system profitable. Afterwards it analyzes the opinions of the participants, who will take part in making decision of the reform of the Common agricultural policy. These participants are member states of the European Union and fraction of the European parliament. Based on their opinions on changes of the Common agricultural policy the thesis estimates the result of the vote of planned reform.
Are agricultural subsidies provided under the EU Common Agricultural Policy effective? Case study: ZD Kosova Hora

The topic of this thesis are the subsidies granted to farmers under the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP), and assessing their economic efficiency. The aim is to analyze this issuee from the very beginning of the CAP to the present times. The theoretical part examines analysis of the effectiveness of providing subsidies in the sector of agriculture. This section pays attention to various rules of European Union, which were adopted in purpose of farmers. The practical part is a case study describing the situation of a farm which uses the subsidies of CAP. Using recent data on the subsidies and Cost Benefit Analysis, case study summarizes and considers the pros and cons of running a modern farm in EU.
An Analysis of Effectiveness of Grant Subsidies in the Context of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU. Case Study: A Farm in the Central Bohemian Region

The topic of this bachelor thesis is an assessmment of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union. The most important aim of the work is to analyze an impact of the recently adopted regulations under the CAP seen from the general economic stance. In the first part, the theoretical one, I focus on the analysis of effectiveness of grant subsidies in the agricultural sector. I namely evaluate arrangements of the European Union which are meant for farmers and are generally subject to changes as a consequence of the CAP reforms. The second part of my bachelor thesis might be called the practical one. I describe the situation of a random private agriculturist, carrying out a farm in the Czech Republic. The aim of this case study is an evaluation of certain advantages and disadvantages borne for the time being by an enterpreneur in the agricultural sector in the context of the Common Agricultural Policy.
