Vopravilová, Anna ; Štoll, Martin (advisor) ; Lütke Notarp, Ulrike (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on media image of child sexual abuse in Czech TV news. The thesis introduces the issues of this serious social problem, presents context of social sciences, rapist, victims and consequences of sexual abuse. The media chapter introduces possible influences of news about child sexual abuse on society. Quantitative content analysis was used for the research. Three of the most popular TV stations - ČT1, Nova, Prima − were included in the research. News transcription related to child sexual abuse was monitored from the beginning of 2010 until the end of 2015 with the aid of the Newton Media SEARCH database. The time period was chosen because of actuality and sufficient sample of news. Three large cases were chosen. Cases were connected with organizations (the Scout group, the BBC television, the Catholic church). These organizations should help and protect children. The affairs were presented, in detail, the data from the news were analyzed, then interpreted and compared. The aim of the analysis was to find if society is sufficiently informed about this problem, if news about child sexual abuse can transform the society's view and if the news had some taboo or stereotypes about this problem.

Literary Depictions of Affairs between Female Teachers and Male Secondary School Students
Hobbs, Denisa ; Topolovská, Tereza (advisor) ; Chalupský, Petr (referee)
This master thesis examines two novels which depict affairs between female teachers and male secondary school students: Notes on a Scandal by Zoë Heller and Tampa by Alissa Nutting. In the theoretical part, female sex offenders, erotic age-preferences, child sexual abuse, and educator sexual misconduct are discussed. In the practical part, the two novels are analyzed in relation to the scholarly findings presented in the theoretical part. Despite the great differences between the two fictional depictions of educator sexual misconduct, both novels contain numerous parallels to real cases. The most notable difference between them is their approach to gender stereotypes. Although Notes on a Scandal allows an alternative reading, it more or less reinforces stereotypes, while Tampa has the clear objective to conquer them. KEYWORDS female sex offenders, child sexual abuse, educator sexual misconduct, hebephilia, stereotypes, English literature, American literature
Methods of investigation of sexual crimes (selected issues)
Burešová, Veronika ; Konrád, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
Cizojazyčné resumé The diploma thesis deals with the methods of investigation of sexual crimes. Because the topic is too broad I've decided to focus only on selected issues of methods of investigation of child sexual abuse. Investigation of child sexual abuse is very specific in comparison to other sexual crimes. During the investigation the child victim must be handled very sensitively in order to avoid secondary victimization. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the specifics of investigation of child sexual abuse and other problems connected with it. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to historical and current legal regulations of child sexual abuse. At the same time it describes occurrence of this crime in the area of the Czech Republic. The second chapter provides criminalistics characteristic of child sexual abuse. The chapter consists of three parts. The first one is dedicated to the typical ways of committing this crime with focus on cybergrooming. The second part describes different types of perpetrators and also specifics of female perpetrators. The third part deals with victims of crimes and it is focused on short-term and long-term consequences of child sexual abuse. I pay attention mostly to the issue of secondary victimization because I consider it as...
Reading Nabokov's Humbert Humbert through historical and socio-cultural prism
Rybchinskaya, Svetlana ; Ženíšek, Jakub (advisor) ; Topolovská, Tereza (referee)
The scholarly appraisal of Nabokov's Humbert Humbert generally sees him as a very intriguing yet morally flawed character. It is therefore interesting to see his depraved views and sexual tendencies within the context of how people have historically thought about female nubility and maturity. The thesis does not seek to de-stigmatise paedophilia, yet it aims at providing some historical framework towards understanding (1) why the widely embraced cultural relativism does not exonerate paedophilia and (2) how some historically- grounded attitudes of humankind towards female maturity align with Humbert Humbert's tendencies. Key words: child marriages; paedophilia; nubility; female maturity; Lolita; age of consent; child sexual abuse; childhood; sexual intercourse; Abstrakt Vědecké posouzení postavy Humberta Humberta z románu Nabokova "Lolita" ho zpravidla popisuje jako postavu poutavou a přesto mravně vadnou.
