In the basement of the apartment building and there is a collective garage and technical facilities. On the above-ground floors there are residential units with the size of 1+kk to 4+kk. Parking of cars is possible in addition to the mass garage on the parking spaces in front of the building. The main entrance to the building is located on the east side. The common areas include a vestibule, entrance hall and corridors, from which there is access to the individual residential units. All floors are connected by a staircase and a hydraulic lift. The structural system of the building is combined. It consists of perimeter load-bearing walls and an internal skeleton longitudinal system composed of columns and transoms. The horizontal structure consists of a reinforced concrete slab. The building is based on a foundation slab. The perimeter walls are contact insulated with ETICS system using basalt wool of 200mm thickness.

The above-ground floors are divided into apartment units with different layout variations and sizes, to accommodate a larger number of potential residents. Most of the apartment units have access to a balcony, which provides outdoor space and increases living comfort. The project includes material and structural solutions, ceramic blocks for vertical load-bearing structures and concrete for horizontal load-bearing structures. A green roof is design for the building to improve the building's properties. There is a parking lot on the southern part of the property.

Air conditioning in a family house
Bařinka, Pavel ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of my Bachelor's thesis was to design the nearly zero-energy house for a family of four. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is architectural and structure design and it contains also a concept of fire emergency and building's physics. The second part is focused on the building services, especially on the air conditioning. This part includes as well the energy performance certificate and a concept of wastewater and rainwater management, water supply, heating and electric installations. The detached house has two stories and a separated car port. The ground floor is a social space with an open-plan kitchen and a living room, which is open up to deck and garden. Across the corridor is a utility room, a toilet and a workshop. The first floor is a private space with bedrooms and a bathroom. The exterior walls are designed from ceramic blocks and they are insulated with mineral wool. The floor slab is designed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The main roof is monopitched with 7° slope, the other roofs are flat. The collected rainwater will be accumulated in a tank and used for watering the garden. The air-water heat pump is a main heat/cool source for a floor heating/cooling, which is designed in the house. As the secondary (bivalent) heat source are used electric heating rods. The domestic hot water will be mainly heated by the heat pump or with the electric spiral. The mechanical ventilation system has total air exchange of 300 m3/h. The MV unit contains an electric safety preheater, an enthalpic exchanger, two EC ventilators, filtres of filtration stages ISO Coarse and ISO ePM 1 and an automatic bypass. In the system was also designed additional water heater and cooler.
