Virtual Reality in Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Spinal Cord Injury

Title: Virtual Reality in Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Spinal Cord Injury Objectives: The main aim of this work was to find out how the virtual reality in comprehensive rehabilitation affects individuals with spinal cord injury who took part in social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s. The research was focused on the awareness of virtual reality, probands' subjective reactions to therapeutic video, and comparison of these reactions between individuals with complete and incomplete spinal cord injury. Furthermore, potential interest in this form of therapy within the future comprehensive rehabilitation of probands was investigated. Methods: Twenty seven probands in the 18-70 age range, with complete or incomplete spinal cord injury took part in the quantitative research. During their social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s., probands were shown three and half minute long therapeutic video through VR headset. Probands completed an input and output questionnaire. The input questionnaire mapped previous experience with virtual reality and inquired about probands' interest to try out virtual reality during social rehabilitation stay. The output questionnaire focused on subjective evaluation of perceptions and feelings as well as closer information about probands....
Application of selected accounting principles in specific conditions of Centrum Paraple, a public benefit organization

The thesis deals with accounting principles in specific conditions of the selected non-profit organization. The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse accounting practises of the accounting entity and evaluate them in terms of accounting principles. The first part constitutes a theoretical base for this issue. In the first chapter are described public benefit organizations with relation to legislation. The second chapter defines assumptions of double entry accounting system and particular accounting principles. In the third chapter is introduced non-governmental organization Centrum Paraple, a public benefit organization, especially its activities, mission and economy. The last chapter constitutes a practical base of the thesis, which is based on an analysis of certain accounting principles in specific conditions of the selected public benefit organization.
Heterotopic ossification in humans with spinal lesions - sanitary-social impact -

The degree paper titled "Heterotopic ossification of patients with spinal lesio- helth-related and social impact" treats, in general, the issues of the spinal cord trauma. It summarizes all, known to us, health-related and social impacts of such trauma and, primarily, is dedicated in detail to the less familiar consequence of spinal cord trauma which is the formation of heterotopic ossifications. The objective of this paper is to map the occurrence of heterotopic ossifications in the patients with spinal lesion who underwent the rehabilitation programme in Centrum Paraple.

In this thesis the attention is primarily focused on various issues associated to spinal cord impairment. Sustaining a spinal cord impairment with the consequent lifelong paralysis may be considered to be one of the most serious life events due to its devastating and wide-ranging impact on people{\crq}s lives. The major objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with the assessment of empirical research duration and results as well as with the process of a volunteer programme formation.
