Phosphorus in sediments of small rivers
Zborovská, Jarmila ; Hrich, Karel (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis deals with assessment of two small water courses Leskava and Troubsky brook. Streams are evaluated from two aspects: content of three forms of phosphorus TP, Panorg and Porg and hydromorphological assessment. Total phosphorus was determined by sample mineralization by H2SO4+H2O2. Pinorg and Porg were determined by a method published by Pardo. Hydromorphological assessment was done by methodology Králová at al.
Assessment of load of small watercourses sediments with phosphorus
Pavlíková, Marcela ; Maršálek,, Blahoslav (referee) ; Hlavčová,, Kamila (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
The issue of phosphorus in sediments of small watercourses and phosphorus forms are often out of interest, unlike phosphorus and its forms in sediments of water reservoirs. The thesis is focused on the development and evaluation of methods for the determination of total phosphorus by modifying commonly used methods and evaluation of methods for the determination of selected forms of phosphorus in small watercourses sediments. Over 1,152 analyses of sediment samples collected in four seasons and four locations and in three paralell determinations were done. The total phosphorus in the sediments was assessed by four methods, further 7 other forms of phosphorus were evaluated by one to three methods, according to different forms of phosphorus. The data file was subjected to statistical analysis. The aim of statistical analysis was to evaluate phosphorus concentrations, depending on the used method. Additional aim of statistical analysis was to observe dependencies of phosphorus concentrations on metals and identify the impact of periods and locations on the concentration of phosphorus.
Zhodnocení stavu Knínického potoka z hlediska znečištění fosforečnany
Králík, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis Condition assessment of the stream Knínický potok in terms of phosphate pollution occupies with monitoring of water pollution in the stream Knínický potok which was carried out from April 2015 to march 2017. The monitored factors were total phosphorus, phosphates, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and tempera-ture. The theoretical part outlines the problematics of different water types, water pollution especially phosphorus pollution and the related legislation. The practical part describes the profiles selected for water sampling, methodology of both fieldwork and laboratory work and also the characteristics of the area. The essential part are the measurement results with commentary, evaluated and compared to the provision of government 401/2015 Sb, in an effective version and to the ČSN 75 7221. According to the results, the main source of pollution is water drained from the wastewater treatment plant. Parameter with the worst measured results was total nitrogen, which has reached extremely high above the NEK limit.

Monitoring of water quality in the river Stropnice
Petrlíková, Kateřina ; Tesařová, Eva (advisor) ; Potužák, Jan (referee)
Five indicators of water quality, namely biochemical oxygen consumption in five days, chemical oxygen consumption by dichromate method, nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and total phosphorus, were determined in the river Stropnice. The samples were monitored at four offtake places along the river monthly during the year 2013. Twice a year water samples were analyzed also fromthe dischargeof the wastewater treatment plants. The results show that some changes of the individual parameters can be traced during the year, such as increase of oxygen consumption and total phosphorus in the summer months. However, no significant fluctuation was indicated for the measured parameters at any of the offtake places. Based on the values of the individual parameters water in Stropnice can be ranked to quality classes II. - IV. In the long-term frame of water quality examination from the year 2008 average indicators' values and characteristic values were determined. The results revealed that neither in this case substantial changes of water quality regarding the measured indicators can be observed.
Fyzikálně chemické vlastnosti vody stabilizačních nádrží z hlediska welfare ryb
OKROUHLÝ, Vít
This bachelor thesis deals with influence of physicochemical indicators of water on the assigned fish stock, including the balance (TN, TP, N-NH4 +, BSK5, CHSKCr and NL105) and the retention of TP and TN in biomass of fish. The work also evaluates the growth ratio and mortality of the deployed fish and it also monitors the balance between primary and secondary production. In the introductory part of the thesis are theoretically described parameters, which were measured in SN2. The main part of the presented work describes the experiment and its conditions, methodology of measurement of individual parameters and summary of data in the form of tables and graphs to achieve a clear presentation of physico-chemical properties of water, balance of nutrients in the reservoir, fish production and abundance of zooplankton organisms. The data in this section was also summarized briefly under tables and charts. In spite of the frequent unfavorable values of the measured parameters, the fish stock aquired an excellent gain of 932.72 kg and 907 kg.ha-1 but the mortality of the carp was slightly higher due to the possible predation of water predators or different demands on the environment by different age groups of carp (Cyprinus carpio). The survival of other deployed fish was within normative losses, except for the fetus of Sander lucioperca, which was not able to survive under these conditions. The cause of fish survival in often extreme conditions can be due to the fact that it migrates to places where the conditions are more favorable or because the fish is in a good condition due to natural food supply. The nutrient balance in SN2 was positive for TP, TN and N-NH4 +. The measured values at the inlet were therefore higher than the SN2 effluent values. The content of organic matter (BSK5, CHSKCr, NL105) was higher at the SN2 outlet than its inlet. The weight on organic solvents and suspended solids has increased on drainage due to the development of production processes.

The influence of fishery farming intensity on water quality in ponds
KREJČÍ, Filip
The introductory part deals with the history of czech fish farming and there is given further information on selected quality parameters of pond water, which are important and risky in terms of fishery production. The main part of the thesis summarises data from the literature, final reports and RIFCH (The research institute of fish culture and hydrobiology) Vodňany database is processed in a form of tables and graphs for clear presenting of physiochemical properties of pond water, including brief details about the way of fish farming, eventually about other important factors, which could also affect the water quality. The main data source of my thesis were four projects, which dealt with this issue during a relatively long period of time, from the seventies of the last century until the year 2012. The greatest attention was paid to data gained under NAZV QH-82113 project "Careful and effective fish farming with maximal utilization of current trophic potential and keeping of sufficient water quality and fish production" in the years 2008-2012 at experipentals ponds of RIFCH Vodňany. There was a comprehensive set of data gained from semi-intensive conditions, where working multiple times and in a very well comparable and under well documented conditions (size of ponds, water supply, fish farming methods) was possible. Based on some published data and data obtained from VÚRH Vodňany database, it was able to demonstrate a direct influence of the size of initial stocking density on the water quality of ponds (especially the concentration of suspended solids, volume of organic pollutions and the total concentration of a phosphor). Generally, parameters, which often do not comply with legislative requirements, could be described as suspended solids, concentration of oxygen, ammonium, total phosphor and Biochemical oxygen demant (BOD5) and Chemical oxygen demant (CODMn or CODCr) values, whose values are sometimes influenced by factors such as for instance the history of a pond, other than production usage of the pond in the previous period (deponie of waste from livestock production, recreational activities etc.)
