2 The exploratory interest of the thesis, Emperor Augustus in Two Successful Novels, focuses Augustus' belletristic interpretation. The thesis provides analysis of two novels and their subsequent comparison with sources and literature. Special emphasis is given to political milestones in Augustus' life.
Tactic of the Roman army from Caesar to Augustus

In my bachelor thesis I would like to focus on evaluation issues of roman army in the age of Caesar, structure, placement units and manner of war, which was typical in this time. I want to valorize individual parts equipment and weaponery roman legionnaries in this time, then focus on some special battles, which Caesar led and interpet tactical formation and concept, which were used. In question of fortification I would like to show on good explored example of fortification siege of Alesia. And I want to show on changes after Caesar's death in the reign of Octavianus Augustus. The diploma thesis " The Reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I., (527 - 565)" deals with the life and the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. The aim of the thesis is to perform the Justinian effort to reach the symphony between the State and the Church.The first chapter leads us to the ages preceding the Justinian's Reign and gets acquainted us with the political and dynastic history. From the second chapter of the thesis deals with its main topic, the Emperor Justinian I., his life and reign and with his foreign, internal and religious policy. The final part presents appreciating of Justinian's personality.

The thesis studies the concept and management of diplomacy in the Republic of Rome. It characterizes the development of the international status of the Roman Empire, focuses on its expansion by force and expansion through diplomacy. On examples from the life of G. I. Caesar analyzes application of soft and hard power in internal politics, foreign policy, and international relations of the ancient world. Its main objective is to clarify the role of diplomacy and force and the way in which G. I. Caesar's policy was applied during the process of acquiring absolute power in the Republic of Rome.
