The subject of my thesis is a constructional proposal of C axis drive for vertically orientated machine. I have concerned the drive operates C axis of revolving slide. The thesis contains the cutting power study regarding the power being in effect during C axis machining, study of clearance adjustment in particular mechanisms, three constructive proposals of possible solutions, calculation of basic proposals’ demands as well as the best option selection which ideally fits to the all conditions requested by TOSHULIN, Inc.

This thesis deals with designing of C axis for interchangeable heads for milling machining centres with horizontal spindle centre of the slide type. It’s divided into three parts, whereas the first part contains theoretical introduction to the problematic. The second part deals with systematic analysis of the topic and choosing the right variant for elaboration. The last part forms construction design of the chosen variant, which contains notes on the solution proce-dure, calculations and visualization in form of 3D models.

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a selected structural part of multi-tasking machine tool. The solved construction part is the design of a turning table with the possibility of positioning with specified parameters. The research part is focused on CNC machine tools, multi-tasking machine tools and individual parts of turning tables with possible positioning. In a design part, the design of design variants of possible solutions is made and the choice of the design solution is made with the help of multicriteria analysis. Subsequently, the selected design solution is processed with the help of the necessary technical calculations. The result of the work is then a 3D model and the required drawing documentation.
