Culture specifics of Taiwan

This bachelor thesis describes business and culture specifics of Taiwan and compares them with other cultures, especially with Czech culture. The aim of this thesis is to align Taiwanese culture with western one, show the culture differences and make business meetings with Taiwan easier. Research task analyses culture differences between Taiwan and Czech Republic, because they are crucial for the cultivation of Czech-Taiwanese business cooperation. First chapter presents basic characteristics of Taiwan, the second one focuses on international trade of Taiwan, mainly with Czech Republic. Following chapter describes culture specifics that were defined by G. Hofstede and there are also mentioned in the context of business dealing. In the end, this thesis provides my own experience that I gained in Taiwan. The thesis offers basic overview of Taiwanese culture with stress on culture differences and its influence on business dealing.
The role and importance of etiquette in business dealings with clients of specific building society.

This bachelor thesis elucidates the social rules of commercial intercourse and analyzes their role in business decision making. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts regarding to the etiquette and describes the principles of business dealing - introducing, course of business meeting, communication with clients. Principles of distance communication are clarified in the last point of this part of the thesis. The aim of the practical part is to provide recommendation for workers of Building Society in the area of behaviour and dealing with customers. Recommendation is based on theoretical information and evaluated questionnaire surveys.
Business and cultural specifics of selected Transcaucasia countries

The thesis is aimed at the introduction of the three countries of Transcaucasia, concretely Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. It analyses the economic development of recent years and the current economic situation, provides the useful information about the entrepreneurial and investment environment for both specialists and non-specialists, but especially for the entrepreneurs and investors intending the market entry. Part of the thesis is focused on the cultural specifics that are important for the business meeting with local partners and on the differences between Czech and local cultures.
Influence of intercultural differences on business dealings and entrepreneurial activites of czech entrepreneurs on the market of Poland

First section describes Poland, its geography, number of inhabitants, its language, currency, political system and brief Polish history. Second section deals with analysis of sectors of polish economy and foreign trade od Poland. In the third section I deal with the differences between Czechs and Poles and I try to describe Poles according to the cultural dimensions defined by G. Hofstede and F. Trompenaars. I use this information to define basic principles of Polish etiquette. Final section focuses on Czech-Polish business relations. I describe foundation of a company in Poland and polish legal forms of businesses. I also analyze foreign trade between Czech Republic and Poland.
Business and cultural specialties in business dealing with Indian partners

The first chapter is dedicated to basic characteristics of India. In the second chapter you can find business specialties. These include issues which in my opinion highly characterize business environment, more or less friendly for doing business. The core part of this thesis is cultural and social manners, values, norms which I compare, as per Hoefstede's theory, with the Czech Republic, etiquette and forms of dealing. My analysis of the business and cultural specialties during dealing with Indian partner are closed by the chapter in which I present information gathered from experienced participants of business dealing with Indian partners. This confirms or specifies my theoretical knowledge. Before the ending there is a characteristic of strong and weak aspects of the Indian business environment, mainly from the point of view of those who see India as another economic growing giant.
