Changes in body composition in the development of maximum force
Kaľata, Maroš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Changes in body composition in the development of maximum force Objectives: The aim of this work was to create functional strength streningupre development of maximum strength of his subsequent application. During interventions were performed measurements of body composition, where we observed change of each selected component due to the application of physical intervention and then evaluated their significance with respect to the target. Furthermore, we monitor changes in maximal strength by setting the repetition maximum in selected exercises. Methods: We used the work of the body composition measuring apparatus using the BIA 2000 (data input, Darmstadt, Germany) and used by the software measurement somatotype Antropo 2000.2 Results: The work confirmed the hypothesis about a significant change in the values of total body water, body fat percentage and values of ECM / BCM due adapted physical intervention with the primary objective of developing maximal strength.

Comparison of selected anthropometric parameters of competitive quadrathletes and racing kayakers.
Gerčáková, Daniela ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Comparison of selected anthropometric parameters of competitive quadrathletes and racing kayakers. Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the somatotype and anthropometric characteristics in elite athletes in marathon kayakers and quadrathletes. Methods: This research included the analysis and comparison of two groups of athletes. Using the Heath-Carter system of measurement, somatotypes were calculated using the computer formula, 'Somatotype - Calculation and Analysis'. Body composition was determined through the use of skinfold calipers SK in conjunction with noninvasive bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). Specifically, the Tanita 980 MS and BIA 2000 measurement units. Results: Two research samples were developed (speed kayakers as one, quadrathletes as the other), whose results (set average) were compared. On the basis of anthropometric data and calculations, it was found that both research samples corresponded in their somatotype category, ectomorphic mesomorph. According to this research, the speed kayakers (with a focus on marathon distances), are generally taller and heavier than the quadrathlete sample, yet had relatively less body fat. The effect of a two-month reducing and exercise training programme on the change of body fat of adults.
Klimentová, Andrea ; Sedlak, Petr (referee) ; Vacková, Blanka (advisor)
The main objective of my thesis was evaluate the two-month motion reduction program by determining changes in body fat of fitness clients. The study included a total of 61 persons from that 29 men and 32 women. Used were basic anthropometric methods - calliperation method and calculation of percent body fat according to Pařízková, bioelectric impedance BIA, calculating the percentage of body fat according to Deurenberg and BMI. The study foresees reduction program success (reduction in body weight, body fat and BMI values for all participants of the investigation file), the possibility of using regression equations establishing the percentage of body fat in terms of fitness, improvement of physical and mental well-being of clients and increasing the motivation for the next sport activities. Keywords: body fat, %fat Pařízková, %fat Deurenberg, BIA, BMI
Bioimpedance measurement
Pagáčová, Lenka ; Balogh, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the body analysis using bioimpedance. The work included theory about bioimpedance and methods associated with the analysis. In the practical part is design of the device for measuring body composition including a software for the microcontroller. The assembled device was tested and compared with commercial product Tanita.
Hodnocení tělesných parametrů studentů v průběhu studia pomocí bioelektrické impedance
Pražáková, Zuzana
Crucial goal of this diploma thesis was to study nourishment issues of students at Czech Universities and compare results with figures taken from central Europe location. Further objectives were to characterize segments of human body, select risk parameters and characterize the method of bioelectric impedance. In practical part of this thesis was made analysis, which showed changes of the students' body composition during their studies at Mendel University. Measuring were made by bioelectric impendance using Bodystat QuadScan 4000. Analysis took place from the beginning of March 2013 to the end of September 2013. Students undertook three measurements, which were compared afterwards. Mainly were observed changes in Body Mass Index, Waist Hip Ratio, weight, fat content, amount of active body mass, water capacity and water separation to extracellular and intracellular. In between first, second and third (3/2013, 5/2013, 9/2013) measurements, were not proven any statistic differences (p > 0,05) in observed corporal parameters. Practical part includes also questionnaires, which were made in order to find out students' eating habits, physical ability and presence of illnesses in their family. Last point of the practical part is students' diet evaluation in Fit Line program, there were discovered preferences of groups of food, energy distribution and nutritive composition of each meal measured during one day. Statistically conclusive difference of saccharids (p < 0,05) was detected in all meal portions. Obtained date, were evaluated in Microsoft Excel 2010 and Statistika Cz, version 12.
The Analysis of diet and physical activity in adolescents in České Budějovice
DEDKOVÁ, Veronika
This work is focused on physical activity, diet, daily routine and dietary habits of adolescents at two high schools in České Budějovice. In selected folder also finds occurence of obesity and anorexia. Research was attended by a total of 311 students aged 15 to 19 years. Each of the students has filled a questionnaire on nutrition and exercise and was subject to measure body weight, height and subcutaneous fat. Collected data were processed by BMI and BIA methods and then compared with data from measurements made in 2008. The results indicate 16% of overweight students and only 1% with obesity according to BMI method. BIA method measured 4% with obesity and 9% overweight. Compared to 2008 research there is decrease of students with obesity, but increased numbers with overweight.
Adolescents as a group of risk in the sphere of feeding and their active life
DEDKOVÁ, Veronika
The focus of this paper is on movement, sporting and healthy nourishment of the young people at the age from fifteen to twenty studying at the two grammar schools in České Budějovice. I also inquired the occurance of anorexia and obesity on the chosen sample of the students. This work can be divided into two parts. The first one is concentrated on using albumens, fats, sacharids and liquids in nourishment. While it deals with eating disorders and moving activities, it offers several types of alternative nourishment. The second part presents the research into nourishment and moving activities on the chosen sample of the students. The results are made using the BIA and BMI methods (dealing with the height, weight and amount of fats). The graphs show that the obesity appears only by the very small number of the inquired students, moreover, the anorexia does not apper at all.
