Attention is paid to all the major events that directly influenced the development of, not only aircraft, but also the flying boats and airships. This bachelor's thesis creates an overwiev of the history od civil aviation from 1950 to 1970. After World War II civilian transport aircraft was not common. At the end of the above two decades has become an essential part of traveling on long distance. Attention is given to important events in the history of aviation from transitiv from turboprop to turbofan engine. The highlight of this period was the construction of transport aircraft capable of overcoming supersonic speed.This thesis describes the development of helicopter construction. Attention is also given to the large construction offices in Europe, Asia and North America. Part of the work dealth with a development of aviation in Czechoslovakia.

This bachelor thesis contains whole review of the civil aviation history from the first steps and early attempts at fly till year 1918 when flying became a common part of lifes and show of human advanced as well. Attention is paid to all relevant events of the aviation history from the first kites till the fly of the Wright brothers. As well like the events this thesis resumes all persones who influenced the aviation most with their lifes and particular contribution included.

Czech Airlines and the aviation market

In this thesis I am trying to solve a problem with aviation and the national carrier Czech Airlines. The aim of this paper is to provide a market analysis in the field of air transport with a focus on European companies. Air transport is an important part of national economies, but in these times a lot of national carriers are facing many problems. Czech Airlines as a government owned company is not an exception and it has found it necessary to enact restructuring actions. The theoretical part provides information about aviation history, types of airlines, and alliances in aviation, regulation and deregulation in air transport. The practical part then provides with regression analysis an evaluation of the knowledge from the theoretical part and shows how individual parameters of airlines influence labour productivity. Across the models there are decreasing returns of labour and increasing returns of capital. The models show the inappropriateness of state ownership, the benefit of membership in airline alliances and the effectiveness of low cost airlines.
