The analysis of digital archive Ask the Library

This bachelor's thesis seeks to analyze records of answered queries, saved in their online digital archive of the Czech national digital reference service called Ask your library. Two first chapters are based on studying sources, found within a bibliographical exploration of the subject. The first chapter briefly presents the service (development, current state, function, organization and administration, receiving and answering processes, etc.). The second chapter describes in detail the creation of online archive with answered queries and researching information from it. In the third chapter is detailed analysis of answered queries. The presentation of the results forms a major part of the work. The analysis includes the presentation and interpretation of basic statistics published on the Web site (eg. the proportion of questions within years, the share of stakeholders on answering queries, etc..), and analysis of the content of the answered queries within selected thematic categories (content and nature of the response, used and others recommended resources). Finally, the author evaluates the results of the analysis of the online archive of the answered queries and perspectives of next development of this service.
