Evaluation of different variants of soil loss and runoff characteristics calculations due to climate change
Derda, Ondřej ; Kulihová, Martina (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
The paper compares the differences between the existing and the newly issued methodology on the protection of agricultural soil from erosion. The main differences examined are in the area of runoff characteristics, in the calculation of erosion and in the determination of the related factors R, LS and C. All differences are compared within the cadastral area of Dubenec in the Hradec Králové Region. Runoff characteristics were compared at 5 critical points in the DesQ-MaxQ (24-hour rainfall) and HEC-HMS (6-hour rainfall) programs. It is not certain which variant will be used more in practice. According to the author of the thesis, the current version with 24-hour rains will be more likely due to the simplicity of the process. The results of the erosion comparison have shown that the change in methodology will result in a significant increase in the determined erosion shear, which will affect the amount of erosion control measures needed in the proposed land development. Of the individual factors, the R factor has the greatest influence and increases erosion. The LS and C factors have less influence. In a particular area, the LS factor acts by reducing and the C factor by increasing.
Spatial analysis of the availability of sports facilities in České Budějovice
NEUŽIL, Marek
The literature research of this bachelor thesis summarizes the most important information about geographic information systems (GIS), spatial planning, spatial analysis and visualization. In the practical part, this thesis focuses on spatial analysis of accessibility of sports facilities in České Budějovice. Using ArcGIS Pro, all sports venues were mapped according to the selected distribution. Three different analyses were performed to determine the accessibility of sports venues using different input data. All the results were visualized in map form. An assessment of the less accessible sports grounds and an assessment of the less densely populated cadastral areas with sports grounds were carried out.

The literal research summarizes water in the landscape. It also discusses the topic of retention capacity in the landscape. Basic information and history related to ponds are then provided. In the final part of this bachelor thesis, grant titles currently available in the Czech Republic, that address the issue of water retention in the landscape are listed. The practical part of this bachelor thesis focuses on the projects of Hydro & Kov company in the South Bohemian region over a span of thirteen years (2008-2021). The implementations were categorized according to the type of contract, budget and grant titles. The thesis includes a description of two selected constructions where the author of this bachelor's thesis was present. The findings from the research were transferred into 3 map outputs. A total of 97 implementations were examined in the selected area.
Analysis of land use development in selected localities of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy
NOVÁK, Adam
The aim of this thesis was to analyse the development of land use in two selected cadastral areas: the cadastral area of Holubov and Nová Ves u Brloha. The analysis was defined by three historical milestones. The monitored period started in 1827, followed by 1947 and ended in 2023. The underlying data were stable cadastre maps available as a full-area map layer from the Geoportal of the South Bohemian Region, a historical orthophoto map from the 1950s from the National Geoportal INSPIRE and then an orthophoto map from 2023 available as a WMS viewer service from the Czech Office of Surveying and Cadastre. The map output and vectorisation was created in ArcGIS Pro. The processing of data on the area of each type of land use and the creation of tables and graphs was carried out in Microsoft Excel. The basic types of land use were defined and described in detail in the practical part. Subsequently, the development in both areas was compared with each other. It was found that, with the exception of arable land, the trend in the development of the individual land use types in both areas was almost identical (with the exception of minor deviations). Thus, in both areas, forest is currently the most represented area, followed by permanent grassland and arable land.
Comparison of small tourist areas - their potential and role in tourism
KADLECOVÁ, Michaela
The topic of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of small tourist areas and their potential and role in tourism. The thesis focuses on small tourist areas of Písesko, Blatensko, Vodňansko and Strakonicko. The content of the thesis is the definition of the given areas, their comparison and the formulation of proposals on the direction in which these areas could develop. The aim of this thesis is therefore not only to provide a comprehensive view of the potential of small tourist areas within tourism, but also to formulate specific proposals and recommendations that can contribute to their further development and prosperity.
Tram Network for New Brno City Masterplan
Grishchuk, Dmitrii ; Seitl, Jan (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the planning of routes and their operating parameters for the tram network in the new Brno city masterplan. The work evaluates operational and capital expenses that are bound up with running and further expanding of the tram system. The numbers of inhabitants and jobs included in 300-meter zones around tram stops were assessed. The calculated values are compared with the current situation. Based on the results, a suitable composition of the vehicle fleet and the order in which new tracks should be constructed is recommended. Further measures are proposed to improve coverage of city territories by the tram system, especially construction of tram ways to other densely populated areas of Brno and the organization of selected transfer points
Posouzení ohroženosti zájmového území větrnou erozí
Zálešák, Petr
The diploma thesis assesses the vulnerability of the area of interest to wind erosion. The area of interest consists of the municipalities of Sudoměřice, Petrov, and Strážnice. The thesis provides an overview of the issue of wind erosion of soil, including its determination and erosion control measures. Determination of soil vulnerability to wind erosion was carried out by modelling in the ArcGIS Pro geoinformation system. The work includes laboratory analyses of soil samples from the area of interest used to determine the vulnerability of soils and their more complex characteristics. The determination of the potential soil loss by wind erosion was carried out through the use of four variants, namely without the protective effect of existing barriers, with the protective effect of existing barriers, and with the protective effect of existing barriers, including proposals for new erosion control measures, which were prepared in both a comprehensive design and a low-cost design. The greatest reduction in soil erosion threat in the area of interest was achieved by the comprehensive implementation of erosion control measures.
Development of socio-economic factors on the development of land use in the selected locality
MAXA, Ondřej
The main goal of this thesis was to evaluate the development of socio-economic factors depending on the development of land use in the village Chvalšiny. This analysis was carried out over the last thirty years, i.e. from 1991-2021. This time was divided into four periods - 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021. The reason for this division was the availability of data from the Census of Population, Houses and Apartments, which is held every ten years. To determine developmental changes over time, the results of the mentioned Census of Population, Houses and Apartments (socio-economic factors) and archival orthophoto maps (land use) on the ČÚZK geoportal were used, specifically the viewing service WMS - Archival Orthophoto. Individual partial works, connected with the development of final map outputs, took place in the ArcGIS Pro program (a newer version of the ArcMap program). The results of selected socio-economic factors (9) were processed in the form of tables in the Microsoft Excel program. During the practical part, it was found that the municipality of Chvalšiny shows favorable values in the long term in terms of socio-economic indicators, and in the near future it should not face problems that could lead, for example, to the depopulation of the municipality. In terms of land use, there has been a noticeable change when over the years up to 95 % of the original arable land area has been converted to permanent grassland (TTP) and today only 24.6 hectares of arable land can be found in this area. An unambiguous mutual relationship between the development of socio-economic factors and the development of land use, where it would be possible to clearly state that one of the indicators has a clear impact on land use or vice versa, could not be demonstrated in this time period.

BLÁHA, Milan
This bachelor's thesis entitled "3D Visualization and Deep Learning in Maps of the Stable Cadastre of Bohemia" is devoted to several goals. The first one is to get acquainted with a stable cadastral map and deep learning. These terms are characterised and their meaning and other requisites are explained. Another aim of this thesis is to present the overall description of the monitored area and to cover its fundamental characteristics, historical development, physical-geographical aspects, population, settlements and a selected municipality. It also introduces the workflow of completing the practical part, which deals with the 2D and 3D visualizations of selected parts of the village of Nová Ves by Klikov, the Czech Republic. These visualisations are created on the basis of the original maps of the stable cadastre from 1827, and are made in ArcGIS Pro. Furthermore, the practical part of this thesis indicates possible practical use of these visualizations, maps of stable cadastre and deep learning.
