The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of dementia occurring in German-written literature. Specifically, two books are described and compared - House of Turtles by Annette Pehnt and The Old King in the Exile by Arno Geiger These mutually different works have their main theme in common - senility and dementia. In the books changes not only the attitudes of sick people towards life and their loved ones, but also the course and consequences of the disease of individual protagonists and the environment. The authors present their experiences with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, personal or otherwise acquired knowledge, and their heroes bring readers closer to the joys and sorrows of their daily lives. The first chapter deals with the problems of senility and related dementia. It contains information on how the disease arises, progresses and how its manifestations can be alleviated. Teaching politeness at 2nd grade of elementary school

This diploma thesis deals with the way to teach politeness in elementary schools. Based on the theoretical literature, in the first theoretical part on the background of the Czech language there are defined basic terms such as pragmalinguistics, politeness principle, politeness strategies, face etc. Considering the didactic character of this work, both verbal and nonverbal aspects of politeness are described in the relation to the teacher-student communication. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of how the aspects of politeness are taught in Czech language lessons and included in three contemporary textbook series. Other source studied is the analysis of the relevant survey among teachers. On the basis of the survey results there are made up some activities with presumably good influence on practicing examined aspects of politeness.

Knowledge of Products of Nature of Primary School Pupils in Relation to the Content of Schoolbooks of the Alter Publishing House

This diploma thesis deals with the investigation of knowledge of products of nature of primary school pupils in the form of didactic tests. An important part of this diploma thesis is an analysis of appropriate schoolbooks of the Alter publishing house. This analysis works with usage of botanical and animal taxons in individual thematic complexes. Main conclusions of this investigation serve to the creation of an image how primary school pupils know this subject matter and how it is described in the corresponding schoolbooks of the Alter publishing house. ?This diploma thesis was solid within the scope of the project GA JU č. 065/2010/S.?
