Processes Supporting Decision-Making

This thesis deals with algorithms for supporting decision processes. Firstly, Analytic Hierachy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) developed by prof. Thomas L. Saaty are described. Basic principles and the implementation in Java programing language of the decision processes are explained. Both processes are then analyzed and their pros and cons and also practical aspect are explained. Secondly, the genetic algorithm NSGA-II developed by Kalyanmoy Deb is described. There are also basic principles and implementation in Java programing language explained. There are finaly the results of NSAG-II algorithm presented.
Selection of optimal variant for house financing/mortgage refinancing

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to select the optimal variant of mortgage loan financing after the end of the previous fixation using the methods of Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM). In the practical part is presented a model situation of a particular client, which is based on my personal experience. A set of evaluation criteria and its preferences was selected. The Saatys method, including the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP), is chosen to determine the weights of these criteria as well as the selection of the optimal variant. The set of options includes mortgage loans from existing and competing banks, building savings loans, a combination of a mortgage loan and an investment product, and offset loan.

The review article deals with the use of multi-criteria decision-making process in urban planning practice as a decision tool in making choices of multiple variations of possible urban development. Various methods are described in relation to the chosen topic of the dissertation thesis which is assessment of quality of public spaces. The aim of this article is to choose specific method applicable to the evaluation of the quality of public spaces in the Central European context based on the description of the various methods, their current use and the system of calculating.
Corporate Decision Support Systems

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of multiple criteria decision making within the selected company. The suitable variant selection of the portable multifunctional device, intended for the logistic oriented company operating the net of distribution halls for e-shops is being made. First, theoretical background of decision making is introduced, as well as decision making models and methods. CATWOE, a tool for finding principle of the issue being solved and the SIPOC methodology, used for description of the processes within the company are both described. Graphical representation of selected business processes, using the process diagrams and the BPMN methodology are introduced afterwards. The selected company is described in the second part, as well as characteristics of the major issue which creates the subject of this thesis. Using the SuperDecisions software, originally intended for decision support making compares variants of portable multifunctional devices with usage of the AHP method. The final comparison result is a proposal of the ideal device variant accordingly to the criteria defined by the company.

Bachelor thesis in theoretical part focuses on the basics of managerial decision making. Explains the basic concepts and principles of decision analysis, as well as the structure and subjects of decision making. It serves a kind of procedure for the use of scientific methods to the decision problem. It focuses on the Monte Carlo simulation method and the method of AHP as a method of multi-criteria decision. Practical part of thesis is focused on decision problem in company BECKS SLOVAKIA ltd. Using the methods and procedures described in theoretical part. The aim of the thesis is to find ideal option to locate production hall of company on basis of managerial decision making.
ANP methods in brewing industry

Thesis applies methods of ANP in brewing industry. It concentrates on Czech beer market and small local brewery in Policka. Main goal of the thesis is to apply the methods in real life problems from the chosen segment. Work consists of several chapters. First chapter defines the goals of the thesis and describes situation in Policka brewery. Second deals with theory around ANP processes. Third chapter is the main part of the thesis. It applies the theory by solving concrete problems. Last chapter analyzes the results.
