Civic facilities of Melnik town during years 1860-1939

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of institutions, buildings and facilities for civil purposes of the town of Mělník. It focuses on the founding and constructing of public serving institutions within the time span from the rise of civil society in the days of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire in about 1860 and their further development and changes during the First Republic. The time span leads up to the Nazi occupation of Bohemia and Moravia. The thesis aims at a description of the then founded institutions, namely, but not only, concerning education, culture and healthcare. Chapters are divided according to sectors of civil facilities. Key institutions are described in there in chronological order, as well as their architectural executions and their historical and architectonic characteristics in the context of the selected topic. The bachelor thesis describes some of the most important trumpet players of the turn of 19th and 20th century. The first chapter is devoted to the construction of a trumpet used in this period. This work deals with regions of Russia, Germany and the USA and is focused on trumpet players, who migrated among these countries.
The relationship between T. G. Masaryk and K. Kramář before World War I

This master thesis presents an analysis of two personalities Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and Karel Kramář before the First World War. The main theme of this paper is to description their complicated relationship. Next part of this paper describes their political and social activities, their opinions and life attitudes at this time. This thesis is based on examination of their mutual correspondence. The purpose of this paper is to present comparison, analysis and interpretation of the relationship of T. G. Masaryk and K. Kramář in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Famous names among women composers

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to women with famous last names. There are represented especially three women: Alma Mahler, Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn. This work is trying to take a closer look at their lives, marriage and point out that they formed their own music. Because of the different situation that women had in 19th and 20th century, they often felt societal obstacles, which kept them from musical development. Despite this fact, they had left a rich legacy and great stories of life.
Development of spanish piano music in the 19th and early 20th century

The aim of this work is to describe the development of Spanish piano music during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Individual chapters are devoted to specific authors, who are exponents of this period, and to explain in detail their style and their most important works, within the contemporary political and social context, both in Spain and in Europe. The first chapter also deals with more historical development of Spain and describes a social movement operating across the continent. At the end, I summarize the most important conclusions.
