Why are women becoming more entrepreneurial than man? Case Study: Czech Republic

Self-employment has been considered an important part of recovering and growing economy as well as an area of interest of current governing bodies on national and supranational level. Therefore, this study aims to provide deeper understanding, what influences self-employment and how does such influence differ between men and women. Purpose of the study is threefold. First, to synthesize a model of influential factors based on current academic debate. Second, to analyze the case of the Czech Republic (exceptional in higher self-employment growth rates for women than men) to understand whether gender difference phenomenon is universal or only limited to time/space/industry. And third, to analyze what are factors driving self-employment. To answer the question ​How does influence of factors on self-employment differ between genders? ​correlation research design is introduced to examine relationships between micro- and macro-environment factors (explanatory variable) and gender specific self-employment rate (response variable). Current Situation on Customer Relationship Management Systems market: Analysis and Potential of CRM Systems for tradesmen in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the problematics of Customer Relationship Management systems in the context of their usage by tradesmen. It is divided into two main parts, the first of which aims to introduce readers into the problematics of CRM and SCRM systems and their benefits for tradesmen, describe the evolution of these systems with the arrival of the Web 2.0 interface and the environment where teese systems can operate. In the second part I analyzed the results of the questionnaire for tradesmen, which was aimed at mapping their opinion on these products, their willingness to invest in them and finding out about the benefits of individual functions of CRM systems. Following the results of the questionnaire, I defined a suitable solution for tradesmen and applied to the pre-selection for the most suitable products in this segment. Thanks to the preferences of the respondents and the evaluation of the required functionalities, the most suitable solution was found for representing the tradesmen in the Czech Republic.

CURRENT STATE OF MOBILE INTERNET IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND POSSIBILITIES OF ITS UTILIZATION IN VERY SMALL BUSINESSES AND TRADERS

This thesis presents/offers a comprehensive view of the issue of mobile Internet aimed at very small businesses and traders. In my thesis I focus on the practical applicability of mobile Internet by means of mobile technologies in the forenamed undertakings. First part of the thesis deals with the methodology of the area of very small businesses and traders and analyses present possibilities of application of mobile technologies and their suitability and usability for very small businesses and traders. Second part of the thesis identifies types of undertaking that can take advantage of mobile Internet and shows that this technology entails time and funds saving. Third part demonstrates concrete applications of mobile Internet in the activities of undertakings and presents the possibilities of gaining a support from the European Union structural funds for the implementation of mobile Internet.
