Water and Sports Centre Pisárky
Prachárová, Adriána ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
According to the assignment, it is a building meant for needs of members of the rowing team, and should act as their training facility, with dressing rooms and spaces for meetings. Besides this purpose, the building should act as a public building and therefore be used by the public. During the design process, it was important to comply with the demands of the rowing team, and bring them an optimal space for training, as well as attract the public towards sports. There are plans for a new training canal, in the plot where the building is placed, and so the design took inspiration in the shape of the canal and translates it into its rounded shape at the front. There is a café and dressing rooms along with kanoe storage on the ground floor, as well as technological room. The second floor offers a massaging room, physiotherapy, multifunctional room, three offices and adjacent kitchen with terrace. These will be available for rent. The floor below ground contains a gym. There are also dressing rooms, wellness, and a training pool for rowing with its own technological room. The one thing that is supposed to catch attention are walls made with Profilit, which is a glass profile that is embedded into aluminium frame. These glass walls are used instead of regular windows and complete the round façade facing the canal. The whole plot of land is meant to be used for recreation, there will be exterior courts for playing sports and paths along the river which neighbours said plot. There will also be plenty of spaces for sitting, especially along the training canal so people can come and cheer for their favourites.

Šmajda, Róbert ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of the SPORTS HALL AND ITS FACILITIES FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL HUDCOVA 35, BRNO. The diploma thesis directly follows on from the developed urban planning study from subject AG056 - Pre-diploma project. The elaborated architectural study deals with the object of the sports hall and its facilities serving primarily elementary school students, fans of recreational sports, but also the general public. The addressed area is located in the Brno-Medlánky district. The building plot is spread over a slightly sloping terrain. The plot itself is currently surrounded by mostly flat fields, pastures and a historical park. The study of the sports hall, as well as the urban study of the territory, respects the surrounding terrain and the natural character of the landscape. It simultaneously recognizes pedestrian and traffic communication directions and connections to the immediate surroundings. The proposed hall together with the background, a tribune for 300 spectators, a multifunctional hall and a clubhouse with a buffet has the shape of a pure block cut into the terrain. It uses materials such as wood, glass and concrete. It consists of 3 floors and an entrance mezzanine. The balance between the proposed sports hall, the expression of respect for the current natural scenery and terrain relief is taken into account in the architectural expression of the entire object.
Freestyle cycling hall
Bartakovič, Róbert ; Müllerová, Eva (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the design of an indoor bike park with necessary facilities for its operation like a bike shop, bicycle repair center and a chill out zone. The building is located in Brno-Ponava. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is focused on architectural and structural design, the second part is focused on building services design and the third part is focused on facility management with implementation of BIM. The building is designed as a concrete frame with wooden roof beams. Floor structure is made from prestressed hollow core slabs. The building is founded on piled foundations and foundation pads and strips. The building envelope is made out of sandwich panels, the insulation of which is made of mineral wool. Northern and southern facades are designed to outline the jumps inside. Eastern and western facades are almost completely glazed for optimal daylight supply. Sanitary facilities are heated by floor heating and an air-conditioning unit is installed here. Showroom, chill-out zone and bicycle repair center have its own air-conditioning unit by which is the area also heated. The area for the bike park has an air-conditioning unit which is also used for heating and cooling with the help of condensing units. The heat is supplied by a local district heating system via a hot water heat exchanger. This system distributes the heat to floor heating in the sanitary facilities and to the air-conditioning units. The building is connected to the electricity grid. Despite that, there is a large photovoltaic power plant on the roof, which is used mainly for the export of excess electricity. Building is connected to sanitary sewer. Storm water is collected and used for irrigation. The last part presents cooperation in a common data environment. It deals with the principles of collaborative work procedures in the CDE environment and with the cooperation of individual design teams on BIM contracts.
The steel construction of a volleyball hall
Polerecká, Katarína ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work is design and assessment of the steel roof structure of the hall object designed for volleyball training and events located in Brno. Ground plan dimensions are in the shape of a rectangle with a floor space 30 x 40 m. The hall consists of 9 cross-lenks spaced by 5 m. The truss girders are arc-shaped, pinned on column. Structure is divided into two areas with hight diference of 6 m. Spatial stiffness is ensured by a system of longitudinal, diagonal strut and purlins.
