Problém černého pasažéra v Severoatlantické alianci v období 2006 - 2016 a implikace pro fiskální politiku

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the problem of free riding in NATO with regards to fulfilling the criteria of defence expenditures as well as econometric analysis and interpretation of the defence expenditures of the member states in the period of 2006 to 2016. Using spearman correlation test, this thesis finds a significant positive correlation between GDP of member states and their defence expenditures. Explanatory variables include main economic indicators such as GDP, GNI, share of GDP devoted to defence expenditures, average annual change in defence expenditures, etc. Main findings include the conclusion that there is a significant level of free riding in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and that larger member states indeed bear the larger burden. Furthermore, based on having lower average defence expenditures than NATO in the examined period, the thesis labels nineteen of the member states as free riding, given that their defence expenditures are below the NATO average. After examining and analysing free riding in NATO the thesis also highlights the implications and recommendations for fiscal policy.
Analysis stowaways in Prague public transport

This bachelor thesis is examinig whether it is worth it for Prague public transport's passengers to travel without a valid ticket and will address the factors that affect making decisions to buy a ticket. In particular the amount of recourse for a ride without the ticket, the probability of being caught by an inspector, the price of the short-term tickets and the implementation of SMS fare. My research is based on the dates in the time period from August 2005 to April 2012. The theoretical part is based on Crime Economics and on the Tsebelis's game theoretical model. After estimating the model using the ordinary least squares method, it was proved that the probability of being caught by an inspector has a greater impact on the number of free riders than the amount of the fine.
The Importance, Value and Price of Education

The presented thesis characterizes education by means of an economic theory. The aim of the practical part is an investigation through an opinion poll comprising a response of the general public to issues related to the importance of education, its contribution and the distribution of the responsibility for the sphere between the State and its citizens. The practical part also comprises a contemplation over the price and value of education, respectively with regard to higher school education.

The content of the first part of my work is a description of basic economy definitions from goods and public sector. I explain there public goods and their financing. This part is important because of better understanding of the second part of this work. My work name is Production of public goods in South Bohemian, and public goods are a lot so in the second part I chose description of a czech education from 2004 to 2007.
Analysis of influence of emploeyees on compensation system. Why is reality different from conclusions of neoclassical economy of labour market?

In my thesis, I analyze the influence of employees on the compensation system. I investigate, why this system is in reality different from neoclassical theory of compensation. In the first part of my thesis I take a little journey into history and I show the most important principles in compensating workers. In the second part I am discovering the differences between theory and real life. I based my arguments on assumption, that every employee, every person is unique, has its own goals and preferences. The compensation system is trying to react to them in both ways, in the positive way, that the employees want specific thing or in the negative way that it needs to make them do, what they hired to do. That means to motivate them properly. On the bases of the second part I analyzed the system of compensation in real company, in Philips CZ Ltd. This I divided into two parts: the actual analysis of the system and the questionnaire, in which I asked the employees twelve questions about their job terms and preferences. The goal of this part is to validate individual assertions from the second part of the thesis.
