Catholic Reformation in the Prague Towns after the Battle of White Mountain. Prague's New Town in a context of the process of the catholic confessionalisation Abstract Olga Fejtová This thesis' methodological ground is a conception of both clerical and secular politics of recatholisation in a relation to Prague's New Town within the Post-White-Mountain period as part of a process of confessionalisation, i. e catholic confessialisation, within the paradigm that was introduced into European historiography in 1980s . The recatholisation within Bohemian lands in relationship to the paradigm of confessionalisation invokes a strategy of state and clerical power. Its enforcement and exercise in political practice were illustrated by normative materials that represented attendant signs of a development of the catholic confessionalisation. The target of this thesis is firstly to describe the progress of politics concerning recatholisation in a relationship to one of Prague's towns by using contemporary decrees of both secular and clerical origin. Furthermore, it shall investigate issues echoing within and from life of the New-Prague-Town's society of the 17th century. This within both public and private spheres of burgess' life. Analysis of chemical composition of prehistoric artifacts of copper and copper alloys in Czech lands

This work deals with chemical composition analysis of prehistoric artifacts of copper and copper alloys in Czech lands. It purvey listing of individual methods of natural sciences research together with their capabilities and limitations. Development and current state of chemical compostition analysis is described in this work. Focus of this work is a database of results of chemical composition analysis from Czech and foreign laboratories. Data file in the database is evaluated in terms of geography, chronology and type of artifacts.

Architectural elements of Baroque gardens in Bohemia

Bachelor´s thesis aims at the characteristics of composition principals, vegetational, constructional and architectural elements of chosen baroque gardens. The literary research analyses origins of the Baroque period and how this era impacted Europe and Bohemia. There is a description of basic compositional principals of the baroque gardens and differences between the French and Italian gardens are described. The description of a composition of a baroque landscape i salso attached. The Vallenstein Garden and a baroque landscape of the town Jičín were chosen as a part of methodology of the research. The thesis is comparing the original solutions to a today´s status quo and the views on revitalization of these landmarks. A map of current condition with compositional analysis and photo documentation were put together for this thesis.

Analysis of the grapevine´s commodity chain

The thesis deals with the evaluation of the mail specifics in the area of wine growing and wine production in the Czech Republic. It mostly focuses on the way of grapevine growing and the following processing of it in Bohemia and Moravia by comparing the larger and smaller growers of this commodity vertical. In the theoretical part the thesis describes the types of companies together with marketing differences between small and medium companies which are occupied with grapevine commodity and foreign trade in terms of commodity. The thesis describes also the legislation according to the Czech Republic and EU. In the end of the theoretical part is mentioned the competitive ability of grapevine commodity. In the practical part is the grapevine commodity analyses on the basis of the questionnaire inquiry conducted among the wine-growing companies, together with SWOT analysis and evaluation of the specifics of grapevine commodity. Furthermore, in the empirical part is carried out a statistical analysis of the foreign commerce with vine of the Czech Republic in terms of vineyard area, production, consumption and import and export. The thesis deals with foreign trade with wine in EU27 according to SITC codes related to the commodity and the overall balance of import and export within EU27.

Analýza vlivu lokace kláštera na současnou míru religiozity v Čechách

This bachelor's thesis answers the question, if monastery, which is located on territory of municipalities, affects somehow religiosity of inhabitants. First chapter (Introduction) defines object and hypotheses of thesis. Second chapter is given to processing methods of thesis. Third chapter contains the most important literature used in thesis, also definition of concepts and theoretic outline of the problem. Fourth chapter describes evolution of religion and changes in religiosity in Bohemia. Fifth chapter works with statistics and looks for possible influence in chosen municipalities. Sixth chapter summarizes all the knowledge and proves or disproves set hypotheses. Last chapter finishes the thesis. Thesis also contains statistical table, graphs and maps.

Diploma thesis has an aim to present to students of elementary school graphical methods of relief printing by method of methodological video, for better understanding and imagination of students. The theoretical part occupies with graphic, the fenomena, that accompanies us from prehistoric times. The thesis is going to present method of relief printing, its development and important authors of relief printing. It makes the students familiar with the most important graphic works in history and makes their analysis. It presents the most common subjects and social aspects of graphical production in the final part. The practical part elaborates technology of instructive video and following application for students of various age and its final marking their work. The conclusion of thesis create supplements of the practical part, examples of models and final works.

Reception of the work of Karl May in Bohemia during the twentieth century

This bachelor thesis deals with the German writer Karl May. This year, 170 years have passed since his birth and 100 years have passed since his death. The thesis gives out a comprehensive May´s biography which aims at the first half of writer's life. The second part of the thesis deals with the relationship of Karl May to the Czech environment, both to Bohemia, where Karl May spent several weeks of his life on various visits, and to the Czechs themselves, especially to his Czech publisher Josef Richard Vilímek junior. In the third and final part of the thesis several Czech admirers of Karl May reveals why the German writer became their lifelong hobby.

Coins of denar's period in Bohemia - analysis of hoards from south-west Bohemia

This work analyses early medieval hoards of coins in south-west Bohemia and their relations eith the regional way from the Starý Plzenec - Velké Hydčice - Netolice - Doudleby. On the base of geographical predispositions, archaeological, historical and numismatical sources are researched points of the way and hoards of coins. This work brings possible explanation of relations of coin's hoards and way, which connected from the 10th (11th) century to the 13th century the main stronghold of south-west Bohemia.
