The efficiency of water treatment separation processes – model research
Vašalovská, Petra ; Slavíčková,, Kateřina (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
Goal of this research was to recognize dissolved air flotation efficiency by the help of turbidity and UV absorbance removal for different conditions. As different conditions are meant the efficiency for different baffle position, different detention time in separation zone and checking results with adding chemicals compared to results without adding chemicals.
Evaluation of water quality in water treatment plant Mokošín
Vosáhlo, Jan ; Vybíralová, Pavla (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is " Evaluation of water quality in water treatment plant Mokošín". The source of water supply are 4 artesian wells. The paper first describes the supply area and water treatment plant with individua water treatment technologies. In the practical section there is the specification of contaminating elements required to be separated at the water treatment plant. Since it is an underground source of water, there is an increased amount of iron and manganese. Increased attention is given to arsenic, which occurs in two water sources in recent years. There are also offered the possibilities of removing arsenic at water treatment plant and two filter materials tested in the laboratory. Monitoring of water quality takes place always in resources and after treatment in the time period of five years, the arsenic values are reported for ten years.
Using the tertiary degree for water treatment
Kovačíková, Kristýna ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
Bachelor thesis will deal with water treatment options with greater pollution, when it is necessary to include after the secondary degree even the tertiary degree. It will be create an overwiev of equipments, which are suitable under certain conditions as tertiary degree and will be worked out a study with using of this degree. As part of this work is to create an overview facilities that are suitable under certain conditions, such as tertiary degree and next a study of water treatment with the use of this degree. The study designed middle water treatment plant and two sedimentation tanks, four european and three active carbon filters.
Water Treatment Plants in the Czech Republic
Pavlů, Tomáš ; Vašalovská, Petra (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis is aimed on establishing of well arranged catalogue of selected water treatment plants in the Czech Republic, with special regard to basic information about particular plants. The first part is focused on general information about Czech water treatment plants, followed by water treatment categorization using several criteria, and the most commonly used water treatment technologies in the Czech Republic. The fourth part of the thesis is concentrated on data acquisition and its evaluation. Last but one part is represented by description of the individually visited water treatment plant. Finally, the thesis is completed with a catalogue of basic information about selected water treatment plants.
Drinking water treatment from aquiferous quaternary sediments in alluvial plain of Morava river
Píšťková, Jana ; Dolejš, Petr (referee) ; Mega, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with problems of water purification from aquiferous quaternary sediments in alluvial plain of Morava river in the area of district Hodonín. Prime concern is oriented on drinking water tretment plants in Bzenec-Přívoz and Moravská Nová Ves. In the thesis is presented information on water captation area of given treatment plants, raw water quality and on methods of water treatment.
Design of Water Supply Facilities with the Support of Simulation Software
Pešout, Jakub ; Tauš, Miloslav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of water supply facilities with the support of a simulation software. The document is a summary of representative software tools that are used to design water supply sites directly or serve as supportive programs. A short summary of the origin, primary focus, availability and market price of each tool is listed in the survey. Furthermore the individual programs are divided into four groups. The section conveys the software's ability to deal with any of the following issues: - Water quality - Hydraulic analysis and simulation of hydraulic working - Design of water network - Creation of simulation models Subsequently, three chosen programs are subjected to exemplary tests, demonstrating some of the capabilities. The first program is Watpro, on which a design of a water treatment plant is drafted and a subsequent search for the sufficient dose of chemical additives is executed. The second program Epanet 2.0 calculates a model test of a water leak from a pipeline. The result is then compared with the outcome of equation calculation. The last program is Watdis, with which the same example of pipeline leakage is calculated and subsequently compared to the Epanet 2.0 result. The work's aim is to provide an overview of the seventeen selected programs and supply the information to potential users from the ranks of designers and students.
New trends in water treatment
Zdražilová, Alena ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is divided into to two parts. The first part contains an overview of new trends in water treatment. The second part shows examples of use of some mentioned type of new technologies, which can be found in practice, that is on water treatment plants.
Energy consumption analysis of water utilities
Bábíček, Michal ; Raclavský,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
In the first part was an analysis of possible cost-saving measures to reduce energy consumption in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Part of the work analyzing energy savings for water treatment plant Bzenecis divided into three parts. Part one deals with a brief description of the individual technological units. In the second part of the individual technological units analyzed in terms of savings already realized by the operator and also in terms of savings that operators shall submit for consideration and possible implementation. The lastthird part summarizes the findings in the second part of the analysis and alsooutlines possible new solutions that are applicable to all objects of the operator.
Options hygiene of drinking water
Šopíková, Lucie ; Hlaváč,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The first part my Graduate work contains an overview of all possible types of disinfection of drinking water used in the present. The second part shows examples of use of each mentioned type of drinking water disinfection methods, which can be found in practice, that is on water treatment plants. The conclusion is a comparison of advantages and disadvantages of various methods of disinfection.
The Analysis of Potential Consequences of Chlorine Leakage out of " Plav" Water Works Station
VILASOVÁ, Pavla
Regarding the topic of this thesis chlorine will be considered a dangerous chemical substance, especially because of the storage amount and chlorine concentration used for water treatment in Water Treatment Plant Plav. Chlorine characteristics, history and means of chlorine utilization bear its risk, methods of protection of human organism against this material belong to general parts of this thesis. Regarding presumption of coordinated operation of single components of joint rescue service during solving emergency and during liquidation emergency conditions in the analysed operation, single components of joint rescue service and activity performed by these components are detailed in this thesis. The aim of the work is to propose an analysis method with the usage of a special software programme TerEx, hazard evaluation, solution of emergency conditions in Water Treatment Plant Plav by means of a special software programme Terex, when chlorine escapes out of the restricted space followed by human lives hazard, environmental hazard. This programme after entering parameters about the amount of chemical agents, weather and climatic conditions in the surrounding premises, serves to simulation of spread of a hazardous chemical substance into surroundings, which helps flexibly lay down a procedure of the components of joint rescue service during the action.
