The next chapter is an analysis of invalidity benefits at the international level. Especially the achievements of the International Labour Organization, the Council of Europe and the European Union in the field of disablement pensions are highlighted. It is completed by a brief description of bilateral agreements on social security. The third chapter, which is the largest one included in this thesis, examines the czech legislation regarding the invalidity benefits. Currently I provide a detailed description of historical evolvement of preferences, particularly miner's occupations until the year 1955. Next legal area I have been concerned with is an origin and specification of occupational categories, their progressive enhancement (until the year 1988) leading to their abolishment in the year 1992. I also pay attention to procedures applied by Czech social security administration within decision making about entitlements arising from occupations classified to 1st or 2nd occupational category. In fine I would like to express thanks to Doc. Jarošová, Markéta ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
This submitted thesis deals with legal regulation of the sickness insurance. The thesis consists of nine chapters. The fourth to the seventh chapters, which are based on the legal regulation in the Czech Republic, and the ninth chapter, which is based on the legal regulation of the sickness insurance in the Federal Republic of Germany, are fundamental. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the legal regulation of the sickness insurance in the Czech Republic and the basic institutes in the legal regulation in the Federal Republic of Germany and compare these two legal regulations. The research is supplemented by a historical survey of the social security, especially the sickness insurance, and by a chapter on the legal regulation valid in the Czech Republic till the end of 2008 and by a chapter focused on the legal regulation of the sickness insurance according to the regulations of the European Union. On the bases of the comparison of both the legal regulations I have arrived at the conclusion that the legal regulations are similar and contain similar institutes because of the close historical development and the social structures. The main sources of information were professional publications and commentaries, articles published in professional journals and web pages.

Pešulová, Anita ; Vysokajová, Margerita (advisor) ; Zemanová, Jana (referee)
The aim of my work is to highlight the significant changes to the pension insurance legislation, including the rules governing the procedure before administrative bodies and courts. Hereat, I try to lay most emphasis on the amended legislation effective as of January 1, 2010, which has brought the most far-reaching changes in the proceedings in pension insurance matters since 1991, when Act No. 582/1991 Coll., on Organization and Implementation of Social Security, came into force. I have broken down the work into two main parts: Part I deal with the substantive aspect of pension insurance. Although the theme of my work is: "Proceedings in matters of pension insurance scheme", I thought it important to integrate its creation, development, term definition, and description of social security law system, which comprises the pension insurance scheme. Then, in Part II, after review of the material enactment, I get to the principal theme of my work, where I first outline how the concept of proceedings is defined in the literature and then I define the rules under which the administrative authorities shall act in their decisions. The next part is devoted to the judicial review proceedings where I first describe the development of administrative justice in the selected European countries and also in our country....

Citizens health state assessment is a very important part of social security law. The institute of medical health state assessment has come through a long historical development and since its beginning it has been connected with the first attempts of the society to form institutes focused on the possibility to have an influence on the consequences of health defects of individual citizens and their possible return to work.
