The influence of forest on the occurrence of N-year flows in the basin

The thesis deals with the influence of forest on n-year flows in the catchment near Staré Město pod Landštejnem. The aim of the thesis was to perform a schematization of the selected catchment and to determine the necessary parameters for the selected method, with the help of which the simulation of the rainfall-runoff process was carried out. The simulations were carried out on selected episodes during which the forest characteristics changed due to deforestation. Furthermore, simulations were performed in which the forest vegetation was changed to fields and meadows. Variants where RAIN-6H was used were also simulated. The model was built in the HEC-HMS program, in which the SCS Curve Number, SCS Unit Hydrograph and Muskingum methods were selected for the calculation. In the conclusion of the thesis, the model building and the course of the simulated episodes are summarized. Furthermore, the water retention capacity of the area of interest is evaluated.

Verification of the dependence between rain intensity and N-year flow for selected river basins with measurement

The diploma thesis deals with the verification of various precipitation events in the selected river basins with measurements. As part of the work, schematization is for a given river basin made and a precipitation-runoff model is created and calibrated based on measurements in the final profile for 2 variants of calculations. Alternative rain intensities with different periodicity and duration are then tested on the calibrated precipitation-runoff model to achieve the required flow rate Q20. Finally, the aforementioned results are evaluated and recommendations are made from them.

Map Design for Orienteering

5 ABSTRAKT Title: Map Design For Orienteering Thesis Goal: The main goal of the thesis is to design an updated map of the educational center of FTVS UK in the Stráž nad Nežárkou for the purpose of teaching orienteering based on literature, theory and participation on an introductory course for cartographers, which is lead by experienced map designers. The secondary goal is to describe the process of map design for orienteering in a concise way and hence create a manual that can be used by teachers of orienteering for design of maps for educational purposes. Method: The work described in the thesis was carried out based on literature on orienteering, particularly on map design for orienteering, and also based on knowledge gained in an introductory cartography course taught by professional map designers. The methodology of map design comprised the following steps: a) selection and preparation of materials, b) field work, when facts are marked in a map and hence the input for further processing is created, and c) the design of the final map in the cartographical software OCAD 9. This process was then concisely written down. Results: The practical output of the diploma thesis is the updated map Ovčín VIII., which is now used as a teaching aid by the Department of sports in nature of FTVS UK. Further, the...

Theoretical part of this bachelor thesis explains the terms concerning waste management in a power supply company. It further descibes the practice enforced in accordance with current law and resolves the origin, collection and disposal of waste. The practical part contains specific activities of a power supply company in cleaning a gas pipeline with resulting hazardous waste. It also specifies various types of waste, its quantity, classification in the catalogue of wastes and a detailed description of the technologies used and actions taken on waste disposal.This thesis aims to qualify the types of waste produced in a power supply company and to evaluate the procedures for waste storage and disposal according to current law.

A comparison of the providing of mortgage loans at building societies and mortgage banks in the Czech Republic

The aim this bachelor thesis is to compare conditions of providing mortgage between banks and building societies. Following bank institutions have been chosen for the comparison: Česká spořitelna a.s., Československá obchodní banka a.s., GE Money bank a.s., Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna, a. s., Wüstenrot ? stavební spořitelna, a. s. and Stavební spořitelna České spořitelny, a.s. Firstly was chosen important criteria, which help client to choose bank. Compared offers was performed on three models examples with help tables and graphs. All of that was chosen the best of variant.
