The goal of this master thesis is to optimise the collection service process of the company DHL Global Forwarding (CZ) s.r.o. and to identify the best collection service provider. The optimisation process will be based primarily on price comparison but also other criteria will be included. To achieve the goal, the content of the work was divided into four parts. In the first chapter, the term of collection service is defined as well as briefly described, including the legal context of collection services. Second chapter provides general information about the collection service market and the collection services currently provided by DHL Express. It also contains a case study -- DHL Global Forwarding -- which describes the role of collection services within the seafreight transportation of this company. Third chapter is the analyses part that provides information about a standard consignment, requirements for the analyses, selection of companies, comparison of their prices and finally comparison of transport conditions and extra services provided by the least expensive companies. The last chapter of this master thesis tries to find solutions to revealed problems and make overall suggestions for DHL Global Forwarding (CZ) s.r.o. as well as DHL Express and BOHEMIA CARGO.
