Design of Access System as a Part of Physical Security Solution
Dohnal, Matěj ; Svoboda, Vlastimil (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of an access system as a part of physical security solution for an energy company in the Czech Republic. The access system is designed to meet all legal requirements and conform to ISO 27001 certification. Implementation of the proposed access system is demonstrated on the selected company object, a representative example of connecting the critical infrastructure element and the company's common facility.
Information Security as an Indicator of Business Performance
Gancarčik, Rastislav ; Vlastimil,, Svoboda (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The content of this thesis is a proposal of methodology for evaluating company's performance in areas of information security, while their performance will be judged based on compliance with standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013, Act no. 181/2014 Coll., Regulation 2016/679 of European Parliament and Directive 2016/1148 of the European Parliament. The proposal of this methodology is designed in a particular company which operates in the Czech Republic.
Information security as one of the performance indicators in energy company
Kubík, Lukáš ; Svoboda, Vlastimil (referee) ; Sodomka, Petr (advisor)
Master thesis is concerned with assessing the state of information security and its use as an indicator of corporate performance in energy company. Chapter analysis of the problem and current situation presents findings on the state of information security and implementation stage of ISMS. The practical part is focused on risk analysis and assessment the maturity level of processes, which are submitted as the basis for the proposed security measures and recommendations. There are also designed metrics to measure level of information security.
Effect of changes in the magnetic field on the behavior of common carp
Švrčula, Daniel ; Hart, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Svoboda, Jan (referee)
The main topic is the effect of changes in Earth's magnetic field on the behavior of common carp, with a focus on fish farming, as part of associated forest production. The ability of animals to perceive the magnetic field has been demonstrated countless times, but it is still not clear how animals perceive and process information that it provides the geomagnetic field. The theoretical part focuses on magnetorecepcia describes the various mechanisms and discovered knowledge. It also focuses on examples of the use of magnetoreception for the direct benefit of vertebrates. Characteristics of common carp and pond management, and examples of the management of common carp. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of the influence of Earth's magnetic field on common carp. Main attention is given to the positional behavior, as one of the manifestations of magnetoreception. For the evaluation of the data was used statistical software Oriana 4.0., which works on the principle of pie charts. The results support the theory of positional animal behavior and the influence of magnetic field on their behavior. The result is, that carps align their bodies in a north-south axis, but if a situation arises where there is unrest in the Earth's magnetic field, known as a magnetic storm, when is magnetic storm there are changes in the positional behavior. Carp did not show any directional preference. This result proves that carps respond to the changes of Earth's magnetic field.
Magnetoreception of mammals focused on domestic beasts of prey
Klemsová, Nikola ; Hart, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Svoboda, Jan (referee)
This work concerns to magneto-reception of mammals focused on domestic beasts of prey. A measurement was directed to three dogs and three cats with different races and places. At first they were observed in Klášterec nad Ohřís pound. This measurement seemed to be verifiable later, thats why the positional behaving (magnetic alignment) were observed in their inherent living conditions, especially in the garden or hutch. Data was taken by photo-catch machine localized over their bowls, where there were observed their single orientation of body and head direction to water bowls. The account was also taken of daily temperature, sun position to that individual in direction of bowl to kennel, of measuring location and state of health. During the measuring term 380 pictures has been evaluated. From these findings statistical preferred direction orientation during the drinking from water bowl were find out and also the preference of north-south line. The results of pictures also represents, that magnetic orientation does not depend on the animal species, as it was expected, bud on every individual.
The Implementation of ISMS in a Small Company
Svoboda, Milan ; Vlastimil,, Svoboda (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on proposing an information security management system (ISMS) in a small company. This publication includes theoretical facts, which are needed to understand and design a ISMS. The design proposal of the ISMS itself is based on an analysis of the current status of the company's information security. The proposed security measures are based on the actual state of information security within the company, and on recommendations stemming from the ISO/IEC 27000 standard.
Application of Electron Backscatter Diffraction in Materials Engineering
Man, Ondřej ; Vodárek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Svoboda, Milan (referee) ; Švejcar, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with principles and common applications of the electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) method. Some practical experience in application of the method to a study of highly deformed structure of copper and its thermal stability is described on one hand, and, on the other hand, to a study of phase composition of TRIP steel on various levels of imposed strain. The limitations of EBSD method are discussed along with its resolution in comparison with other complimentary techniques.
Hydraulic control of butterfly valve
Ševčík, Vlastimil ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with construction and design for hydraulic servomotor bracket and valve's hydraulic control. The main part describes the history and types of butterfly valves. Construction part deals with selection of optimal design and there is made the strength analysis for the selected type of bracket.
Beginning of education in Luxembourg
SVOBODA, Vlastimil
The thesis deals with the beginning of the first schools on the territory of Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and France after the desintegration of the Roman Empire. It describes different types of schools and the education that they were bringing. It focuses also on the historical conditions and describes the main personalities of the period and their influence on the education. It pays a special attention to the extinction of ancient schools after the invasion of barbarian tribes and to the Carolingian Renaissance and its impact on the education. Among monastic schools it points out especially the school in the Echternach abbey, whose high level makes it one of the most important schools of that period in Europe. The thesis describes in detail the content of the education, teaching aids and methods used in this school. Finally the thesis mentions the Ottonian Renaissance and the establishment of medieval universities.
