The comparison of knowledge of electromagnetic field theory for laymen and experts within the civil emergency preparedness
VESELÁ, Barbora
The thesis "Comparison of knowledge of electromagnetic field theory of the laity and experts in the context of civil emergency preparedness" to put three goals: 1. The formation of the structure of an electromagnetic field for experts. 2. The reaching of the comparison of knowledge among experts and laymen. 3. Statistical processing of the results. The author has set the following hypotheses: H1. Theoretical distribution of knowledge in a sample of the general public will have a normal distribution . H2. Theoretical distribution of knowledge in a sample of professional community will not have a normal distribution. H3. The comparison of knowledge among the experts and the laymen will lead to an alternative hypothesis. The thesis was based on the knowledge of the theory curricular process. On the basis of this theory was made up not only the structure of the electromagnetic field, but also the questionnaire. An important step in this thesis was the creating a model structure of electromagnetic field . The structure was based on an analysis of the scientific system - the system of educational programs in the field of civil protection. The same structure was applied to the general public. An important step was to compare the knowledge of protect the population from experts and laymen. This issue has not been investigated in detail and it did not compare the knowledge of laymen and experts in the studied physics. The idea came from the possibility of extraordinarily events where respondents can meet with electromagnetic fields and will need the relevant theoretical knowledge. The aim was to the statistical evaluate of the applied questionnaires. There were applied nonparametric and parametric testing as the verification methods. The theoretical division of knowledge of experts is supposed Poisson distribution, on the contrary, the theoretical division of the general public should have a normal distribution. There was also compared the difference between knowledge of laymen and professionals. The using of the statistical methods have been received and confirmed the hypothesis and the thesis goals were fulfilled.
Interactive effects of elevated CO2 concentration, drought, and nitrogen nutrition on yield and grain quality of spring barley and winter wheat
Surá, Kateřina ; Rajsnerová, Petra ; Veselá, Barbora ; Klem, Karel
The interactive effects of elevated CO2 concentration (EC; 700 μmol mol–1), drought stress, UV exclusion, and nitrogen nutrition were studied in open-top chambers located in the Bohemian–Moravian highlands (24 in total). Above-ground biomass at the time of harvest, grain yield, and grain quality parameters were studied in winter wheat (variety Bohemia) and spring barley (variety Bojos). The results showed that elevation of CO2 concentrations increased above-ground biomass and grain yield. Higher levels of nitrogen increased the stimulatory effect of EC on above-ground biomass and grain yield. In addition, UV exclusion stimulated the effect of EC. EC generally led to increased rates of photosynthesis and assimilate formation. Increased storage of starch in the grain led to an unbalanced proportion of proteins and a decrease in their relative content in grain. Similarly to grain yield and above-ground biomass, the decrease in protein content under EC was also more pronounced under UV exclusion. EC led also to reduction of other quality parameters, such as the Zeleny sedimentation test. This effect is more pronounced when nitrogen is not a limiting factor as well as under the effect of drought. The stronger effect under drought stress is probably due to increased water use efficiency.
Interactive effects of UV radiation and drought on the accumulation of flavonols in selected herbs and grass in a mountain grassland ecosystem

The main objective of this 4-year experiment conducted in a mountain grassland ecosystem was to investigate the interactive effects of ultraviolet (UV) treatment and drought on changes in accumulation of UV-screening compounds (flavonols) in selected herbs (Hypericum maculatum Crantz, Rumex obtusifolius L.) and grass (Agrostis tenuis Sibth.). Inasmuch as drought and UV radiation induce similar protective mechanisms, we tested the hypothesis that UV radiation and drought elicit synergistic effects on flavonol accumulation. The experimental plots were manipulated using rainout shelters enabling the exclusion and transmission of incident precipitation and UV radiation. Generally, UV and drought treatments had similar effects on flavonol accumulation. For R. obtusifolius, UV exclusion resulted in a substantial reduction of UV-screening compounds, particularly under ambient precipitation conditions, while for H. maculatum and A. tenuis UV exclusion caused only a slight reduction of flavonol content. Similarly, the drought treatment caused an increase in flavonol accumulation.

Climatic variation along altitudinal gradients provides an excellent natural experimental set-up for investigating the possible impacts of climate change on terrestrial organisms and ecosystems. The present work has explored for the first time the acclimation of upper versus lower canopy leaves or needles in European beech (Fagus sylvatica) and Norway spruce (Picea abies) forests along an altitudinal gradient. We tested the hypothesis that restrictive climatic conditions associated with high altitudes reduce within-canopy variations of leaf traits. The investigated beech and spruce forests were located on the southern slope of the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains (Czech Republic). All measurements were taken on leaves from the upper and lower parts of the canopy of mature trees (>60 years old) growing at low (400 m a.s.l.), middle (720 m a.s.l.), and high (1,100 m a.s.l.) altitudes. Generally, we observed that with increasing altitude, which is associated with adverse microclimatic conditions, a convergence of CO2 assimilation rate and other physiological, morphological, and biochemical characteristics between the upper and lower canopy occurred. However, differences in altitudinal response among individual traits and species were found. Such plasticity in acclimation of leaves and needles has the potential to cause substantial change in the photosynthesis of individual parts of forest canopies within the vertical profile and their contribution to the overall carbon balance of vegetation.

This bachelor thesis deals with comparisons of regional politics of the Czech and Slovak Republics with focus on programming period between 2007 and 2013. It especially looks at the comparison of Czech operational programme Research and Development for Innovation and Slovak programme Research and Development. In the theoretical part I collected and compared data about the Czech and Slovak regional policies concentrating on current programming period. Based on this, in the practical part I look at specific operational programmes. The last part of the thesis focuses on comprehensive comparison of regional policies of Czech and Slovak Republics, it particularly targets comparison of operational programmes within established indicators and evaluates the realization of their implementation.
The Physics Principles of Classical Circular Accelerators for Radiological Technologicts
VESELÁ, Barbora
As the selected theory of transfer of knowledge from the scientific radiological physics (in the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators) to students of radiological branches the theory of curricular process was used. This theory was formulated in the world by M. Pasche, T. G. Gardner, M. Certon, M. Gayl, in the Czech and Slovak Republics by J. Průcha, J. Brockmeyerová, P.Tarábek, P. Záškodný. On the base of the curriculum process theory, in the sphere of radiological physics curriculum process can be defined as a sequence of transformations T1-T5 variant forms of curriculum: "conceptual curriculum" as a communicable scientific system of radiological physics (first variant form of curriculum as transformation T1 output from a scientific system to a communicable scientific system) "intended curriculum" as an educational system of radiological physics (second variant form of curriculum as transformation T2 output from a communicable scientific system to an educational system) "project curriculum" as an instructional project of radiological physics (third variant form of curriculum as transformation T3 output from an educational system to a teaching project) "implemented curriculum-1" as the preparedness of educator to education in radiological physics (fourth variant form of curriculum as the first transformation T4 output from an educational project to implementation of teaching) "implemented curriculum-2" as the results of education in radiological physics (fifth variant form of curriculum as the second transformation T4 output from an educational project to implementation of teaching) "attained curriculum" as applicable results of education in radiological physics (sixth variant form of curriculum transformation T5 output from implementation of teaching to application of the results of teaching). In this thesis, in the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators the transformation between the intended curriculum, project curriculum, implemented curriculum-1 and implemented curriculum-2 were used. These transformations were carried out by binds between educating text, experimental teaching, preparation for experimental teaching and placing of educational test to students of radiological branches to find out the results of experimental teaching in the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators. In order to prove the hypotheses of the bachelor thesis, methods of mathematical statistics apart from methods of descriptive statistics were used: Nonparametric tests and two sample t-test. Nonparametric test was used to test the normality of knowledge acquired by experimental teaching. Two-sample t-test was used to compare the knowledge from the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators in students of full-time and part-time study programme. The bachelor thesis was based on the verification of two hypotheses: a) an adequate educational text in the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators can be created by application of curriculum process b) students´ knowledge in the sphere of physical bases of circular accelerators acquired on the base of worked out educational text will have normal distribution. Both of these hypotheses were confirmed by statistical processing of the results which were obtained by experimental teaching and by placing of educational test to students. Partial hypothesis was also confirmed that knowledge between full-time students and part-time students will not be statistically different on the level of statistical significance 0.05. Based on the verified hypotheses and the survey of further results, the targets of the thesis can be considered fulfilled.

Recycling in photography
Veselá, Barbora ; Musilová, Helena (advisor) ; Silverio, Robert (referee)
The text introduces recycling as one of the main trends of contemporary fine arts that deserves attention, especially in the area of photography. The author explains the term and shows evolution of recycling in the history of fine arts. The author spares a thought for the status of photography and its recycling in post-modern situation from the view of a beholder and the author. She perceives doubts of legitimacy of using unoriginal pieces of art in her own art production. Method of recycling can be useful for creating the new possibilities for expression of feelings and thoughts. The author specializes in physical recycling of photography, not in the one of the content. In the art of photography the author classifies recycling according to the method of processing of taken-over shots. She lists the authors and their specific pieces of art on which she explains creative methods in more details
