Zdražila, Václav ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title Impact of gear and weaponry on posture in kneeling shooting position Objectives The aim of this thesis is to find out the impact of gear and weaponry on posture in the kneeling shooting position. Specifically, this study examines the influence of carried load on posture, aiming stability and balance in the high and low kneeling shooting position variants. Methods This thesis has an empirical observational character. The shooting position was tested by Qualisys camera system and Kistler pressure plates. The measurment was performed on 16 Military department students with mean age of 23 years (standard deviation 2,63 years). Measurements were carried out in four levels, with no load, light load of 15 kg, mean load of 30 kg and heavy load of 45 kg. The measurement was performed on high kneeling variant and the low variant with elbow supported by the front knee. Intra-individual comparison of the results of each level was determined by a T-test. Results: The load in a form of gear and weapony had a statisicaly significant - negative influence on the kneeling shooting position posture. Gear and weaponry used for this study caused a lower trunk position, increased shoulders angle in the low variant, lesser aiming stability and balance control in the position. The bigger was the weight of gear and...
Impact of gear and weaponry on muscle activation in the direct front kick
Oláh, Vladan ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title: The influence of equipment and arms on skeletal muscles activities while practising direct kick. Aim: The aim of this thesis was to find out the influence of carried equipment and arms on the activity of skeletal muscles when a direct front kick is being practised. The methods used: This thesis has an empirically observational character. Muscular activities were measured by means of surface electromyography synchronised by Qualisys screen system. To obtain statistic data, a t-test has been used, requiring 5 % significance level. Results: While carrying a 15-kilogram load, the activity of skeletal muscles was not significantly reduced when performing a direct front kick. However, a 30- kilogram load caused a substantial reduction of skeletal muscular activities during the kick described above. After adding a 15-kilogram bag to another 15 kilograms in the form of a body armour, a helmet and arms, the muscular activity changed its features in a considerable way. Furthermore, most respondents proved 45-kilogram load to be over their limit. The equipment and arms of that weight led to the summation action potential, exceeding the power- coordinative functional reserve, and thus the deformation of the direct front kick technique. Keywords: close combat, EMG, equipment, arms, direct front kick

Kellner, Petr ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Majerčík, Petr (referee)
1 Abstract Title: The effect of running with a load on postural stability. Objectives: The establishment of changes in postural stability after a 3 km maximum effort run with a 15 kg load. Research sample: The tested subject group was constitued by seven soldiers of the Army of The Czech Republic at the average age of 25,6 ± 2,1 years who are students of the Military specialization at the Faculty of sport and physical education of The Charles University. Methods: This master's thesis was drawn up as a observational study of theoretic empiric character, realised through intraindividual comparative analysis on a group of 7 subjects. Postural stability was examined with RS Footscan forceplate and clinical balance test U.S. Military Academy Stance Test. The run was realised on a treadmill, without and with a load. For statistical analysis nonparametric statistic tests of significance were used. Results: The results of relations between postural control changes and 3km run with a load of 15 kg display a deterioration of postural stability tested after the run. The extend of deterioration of postural stability after 3-km run with a load within tested group is similar to one after 3-km run of analogous intensity. Key words: run, load, postural stability, balance

Oláh, Vladan ; Majerčík, Petr (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title: The influence of body armour on a direct front kick strength Aim: The aim of the thesis was both to find out and compare the strength of a direct front kick made either with a ballistic vest or without it. Furthermore, the thesis focused on the strengths of a direct front kick made with a load-bearing vest compared to a ballistic vest. The methods used: The thesis can be characterised as an empiric work based on observation. The kick strength was measured by a dynamometer and the results have been statistically evaluated by a paired t-test. Results: The first part of the thesis, which was dealing with a direct front kick made with a ballistic vest or without it, resulted in the fact that there is a positive effect of using that kind of a vest. The kick strength was definitely more intensive using the ballistic vest. However, this can be claimed only in such ideal conditions which were available during the measurements. The probands were also not influenced by any physical strain, which is quite typical of martial activities. The second part focused on the differences using a ballistic or a training load-bearing vest when performing a direct front kick. There were no significant differences between the kicks with these two vests. Key words: Close combat, body armour, load-bearing vest,...

Title: The dependence of the direct punch intensity on force and agility abilities. Objectives: The establishment of the dependence of the intensity of the direct punch with a clenched rotated fist on the chosen kinetic abilities. Výzkumný soubor: The tested subject group is constitued by seven soldiers of the Army of The Czech Republic at the average age of 23,4 ± 1,8 years who are students of the Military specialization at the Faculty of sport and physical education of The Charles University. Methods: This bachelor work was drawn up as a observational study of theoretic empiric character. The punch intensity is measured with impact dynamometer. The chosen kinetic abalities are the maximal dynamic power of arms, the explosive power of arms and the non-specific agility. The movement abilities are measured within the standardized motoric tests. The relation between the results of the motoric test of movement abilites and the direct punch is established with the correlation coefficient and graphical assessment of the subject's order at the evaluated variables. Theoretical explanation of discovered relations is also endorsed by qualitative analysis of former experience in the tested field of the subjects. Results: The results of relations between the direct punch and tested kinetic abilities shows a...

Title: Comparison of energy expenditure when moving on wet and dry clothes. Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the difference in heart rate when moving in dryand wet clothes in different speeds. Methods: Quantitative research and subsequent intra-individual comparison of pulse frequency when moving in dry and wet clothes. Movements were conducted on a treadmill and heart rate was measured by using sporttesters. Results: From the results we can deduce that at the speed of 8 km / h is on the short track the move in the dry and wet clothing approximately at the same energy intensive. Furthermore, it was found that at higher speeds, the difference in heart rates is bigger and wearing a wet clothes at speeds 12 km / h approaches maximum heart rate. Keywords: Energy expenditure, heart rate, military swimming, moving in difficult conditions.
Inclusion on the ground fighting techniques in the system of close combat in the Army of the Czech Republic.
Král, Pavel ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Majerčík, Petr (referee)
Title of thesis: Inclusion on the ground fighting techniques in the system of close combat in the Army of the Czech Republic. Aim of thesis: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of termination, the risk of injury and severity of selected techniques of fighting on the ground in order to create a theoretical model for the incorporation of new techniques into close combat training in the Army of the Czech Republic. Methods: This thesis is processed by multivariate preferences. IAC group of senior mentors and close combat instructors evaluated using a printed questionnaire completion efficiency, risk of injury and severity of the performance of six combat techniques on the ground in design with no weapon and then in the version with weapons (assault with a knife during the implementation techniques) marks 1 "worst" to 3 "best". To summarize the evaluation I used tables showing the frequency of individual signs and then multiply the resulting frequency value equal to the value of the mark, below which the frequency is. The data obtained from the product of the frequency and the added values allowed us to compare techniques between themselves and determine their mutual order. Results: Despite the chosen criteria evaluated for divergence of selected techniques and access to the results...

Kotas, Jan ; Majerčík, Petr (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title The influence of using military boots on the power of front kick Objectives The aim of this work is to identify and compare front kick while using military boots to front kick with no usage of those boots. Methods This bachelor work can be described as empirical and observational. A multicomponent force plate was used to detect the power of the front kick. The powers of the kick with the boots and without the boots were compared with the aid of a statistic method called paired t-test. Results In four cases the power of the front kick decreased by the influence of the boots, in one of these four cases was the declension statistically significant. In two cases was the power of the front kick increased due to usage of the boots, while in one of these cases was this increase statistically significant. The result of the interpersonal comparation was statistically insignificant. It was ascertained, that a previous experience with combat activities, which use kicking techniques, and also experience with usage of boots while kicking do affect the power of the front kick. However the results acquired by the measurement and statistical data processing cannot be generalized. Keywords close combat, front kick, military boots
