Study: Spindle bending
Pintr, Pavel ; Psota, Pavel ; Václavík, Jan
The study concludes with an analysis of possible measurement solutions droop horizontal spindle machine tool load. Were analyzed using optical methods deflection of the laser beam and analysis of the beam pattern on the screen two cameras. Was also analyzed autocollimation method. The study also includes oprické simulation situation made Zemax environment and mathematical calculations deflection, motion track and the estimated sensitivity
Simulation of optical system of deposition controller
Doleček, Roman ; Pintr, Pavel ; Václavík, Jan
The report describes results of modeling of optical system which is component of optical monitoring system applied on machines for vacuum thin film deposition. Results were compared to real behavior of system, especially chromatic properties and total throughput. A numerical optimization, based on analysis results, was performed in order to improve throughput and ruggedness of the system.
System for measurement of bending of heavy duty spindles
Pintr, Pavel ; Václavík, Jan
Device serves as a diagnostic tool for analysis and measurement of spindle bending during extension from its headstock. A method used to measure the bending has minimized sensitivity to deformation of supporting structures.
Design and fabrication of anti-reflection coating on Gallium Phosphide, Zinc Selenide and Zinc Sulfide substrates for visible and infrared application
Vápenka, David ; Václavík, Jan
The article presents results of design and realization of dual-band antireflection coating on Gallium phosphide substrate. A layer stack of antireflection coating for bands 0.6-0.8μm and 3-5μm was designed using ZnS a MgF2 materials. Layer stack was deposited using thermal evaporation method. Expected transmittance spectra and the ones obtained on coated Gallium phosphide substrate are compared. Efficiency of anti-reflection coating is estimated and discrepancies are analysed and discussed
Gallium Phosphide as a material for visible and infrared optics
Václavík, Jan ; Vápenka, David
Gallium phosphide is interesting material for optical system working in both visible and MWIR or LWIR spectral ranges. Number of a material available for these applications is limited. They are typically salts, fluorides or sulphides and usually exhibit unfavorable properties like brittleness; softness; solubility in water and small chemical resistance. Although GaP has do not offer best optical parameters excels over most other material in mechanical and chemical resistance. The article describes its most important characteristics and outlines some applications where GaP should prove useful
Photonometers for coating and sputtering machines
Oupický, Pavel ; Jareš, Daniel ; Václavík, Jan ; Vápenka, David
The concept of photonometers (alternative name of optical monitor of a vacuum deposition process)for coating and sputtering machines is based on photonometers produced by companies like SATIS or HV Dresden. Photometers were developed in the TOPTEC centre and its predecessor VOD (Optical Development Workshop of Institut of Plasma Physics AS CR) for more than 10 years. The article describes current status of the technology and ideas which will be incorporated in next development steps. Hardware and software used on coating machines B63D, VNA600 and sputtering machine UPM810 is presented.
Irregular surfaces - measurements and ZEMAX simulations
Melich, Radek ; Psota, Pavel ; Lédl, Vít ; Václavík, Jan
Surfaces produced on optical elements are loaded by dierent kinds of irregularities whose allowable amplitudes are prescribed by optical tolerances defined by an optical designer. An important feedback between realized and designed surfaces can be achieved using interferometry or profilometry measurements for instance. This article discusses dierent kinds of representation and visualization of those measurements in ZEMAX, enabling optical designer to evaluate an impact of the irregular surface on the optical system performance.
Optical design of imaging system of spectrograph with multichannel filter
Rail, Zdeněk ; Jareš, Daniel ; Lédl, Vít ; Melich, Radek ; Melich, Zbyněk ; Václavík, Jan ; Oupický, Pavel
At present time multi channel filter is developed within grant in IPP AS CR, v.v.i. It will enable to observe solar phenomena in several interesting working wavelengths. This filter is composed of five members and possesses long optical interval of parallel beams. In this paper we present several variants of imaging systems of spectrograph which are optimized for this filter.
Prospects of digital holographic interferometry in heat transfer measurement
Doleček, R. ; Lédl, Vít ; Kopecký, V. ; Psota, P. ; Václavík, Jan ; Vít, Tomáš
In the measurement of heat transfer problem, a holographic interferometry (HI) is often used mainly because of its unique properties and very high adaptability to different sort of problems under investigation. Although in the area of vibration or deformation measurement of solid body the standard HI is replaced massively by digital holography in the case of refractive index distribution the situation is quite opposite. In this paper we present two different types of digital holographic interferometers. The interferometers with different sensitivities have been build and successfully tested.
