Skálová, Jana ; Nykl, Hanuš (referee) ; Ulbrechtová, Helena (advisor)
My intention to devote oneself to write about prosaic writing by Ljudmila Ulickaja arose, when I wrote her fiction Meoea u ee oemu. Although following books are much worse, I am convinced, that Ljudmila Ulickaj a has got a original voice in the russian literature these days, and it costs to speak about her. In my Bachelor-essay I first show analytic survey of history Soviet Union fro111 the year 1953. And I speak there about the main movements in the russian literature these years. Than I show selecting critical views from russian joumals and papers, which analyse various aspects prosaic writing by Ljudmila Ulickaja. I divided these views into three groups based on motives, which they choose - universal Vlew, sociological-psychological approach and religious component. Than I attempted to aplicate these views on my own critical analyse. I took three of short stories by Ljudmila Ulickaja and showed my remarks. 54
Venedikt Jerofejev. "Moscow to the end of the line" or the wanderings of the holy fool with a postmodern subtext
Klevcova Pilařová, Julie ; Chlaňová, Tereza (referee) ; Ulbrechtová, Helena (advisor)
Moscow to the end of the Line by Venedikt Jerofejev is frequently mentioned among those literary works that are enumerated while pointing at issue of Russian postmodern literature formation. This novel has become the main topic of a whole number of literary papers that are being analyzed in the first, introductory, chapter of this thesis. Special attention is paid to those works that are dealing with the motifs of the Holy Fool and wandering in the novel. Part one also analyzes various peculiarities of Venedikt Jerofejev's biography and diary, which influenced the novel-writing. Although the novel, which is being analyzed by us, still carries some features of a traditional realistic discourse, it can be discussed from a postmodern point of view due to such features as its hypertextuality, «the death of the author», the usage of «the author's mask», a real language replacement by the «overlanguage» of simulating order, changes that take place in subject-object relationship etc, which are typical for the period when the novel appeared. Those aspects that are characteristic for primary understanding of postmodernism and for its «Eastern» modification are being discussed in the second part. In addition to this, this part analyzes the above mentioned postmodern features of Moscow to the End of the Line. It is...
Pavlik Morozov and his role in the communist education of soviet youth
A Dialogue of Psychoanalysis and Literature De-construction and re-construction of Sigmund Freud’s learning in Susan Taubes’ novel Divorcing (1969) and Maria Rybakova’s novel Anna Grom i jeje prizrak [Anna Grom and her Ghost] (1999).
Ulbrechtová, Helena
The study presents an analysis of the reflection of the psychoanalytic theory of learning in both novels as an example of a transfer of "knowledge" to texts of fiction. Freud’s intertext is in both novels the result of own research work of the two authors. Taubes deconstructs it consistently, psychoanalysis being for her a part of the complicated relationship to her father, a psychoanalyst. Rybakova, on the contrary, is inspired by it and uses some of Freud’s utterances in the function of intertext. In conclusion, a hypothesis is then formulated about a concealed influence of C. G. Jung’s theory on Susan Taubes.
