The aim of this work is to introduce the topic “Factors affecting quality of housing in cities, Ostrava case study” and to point which factors there are and what real impact on quality of housing they have. This thesis also shows us the situation of housing in Ostrava city and may be used as a source to understand situation and eventual development in Ostrava city.
Valuation of the damage by fallen tree to a recreation cottage in Roudná u Nových Hradů

The aim of this thesis is to determine the amount of indemnity for total damage caused by a falling tree during the gale on a cottage in Roudné near Nové Hrady. The theoretical part deals with basic insurance terminology and basic terminology and methods used in property evaluation. The practical part describes the original condition of the property and its evaluation before the insured event using a cost method and complying with the evaluation regulation. Furthermore, this thesis deals with determination of the costs through the itemized budget for bringing the property to its original state. The conclusion deals with the impact of reconstruction on the extent of indemnity.
Valuation of the damage by flood to a single-family house in Velké Poříčí

This thesis deals with the issues of determining the amount of insurance coverage of a house destroyed by flood. The aim of this paper is to explain the terms related to evaluation and insurance. Then to value immovable property by costs, document the damages and determine the costs for rebuilding the damaged parts in accordance with the insurance policy. It is necessary to determine the insurance value of the house. At the end of this thesis the history of floods in the particular area and flood control methods are discussed.
Analysis of highest and best use of a single-family house in Červený Kostelec

The thesis deals with the analysis of highest and best use (HABU). In the theoretical section we describe the four basic criteria from which the analysis is made. These are the criteria: legal compliance, physically viable, financially feasible and maximally profitable. The practical part then addresses the evaluation of specific variants of real estate in Cerveny Kostelec by analyzing the highest and best use.
Enterprise purchasinng management in a construction company

This thesis deals with purchasing management in the construction industry and the relationships between suppliers and customers. In the theoretical part are defined basic trade relations, selection and method of evaluation of suppliers, their mode of communication and thoroughly described outsourcing and insourcing. The practical part is a collection of several purchasing activities presenting the advantages of long-term relationships with suppliers customers. Preference is assessed on the basis of time and financial savings.

The subject of this thesis is to contribute to the improvement of controlling system in the construction company. The main emphasis is on the use of appropriate controlling tools, which would have a positive impact on the management of a particular enterprise. The thesis analyzes the area of controlling stock in XYZ Company, Inc. The introduction defines the concept of business management, controlling and its theoretical basis, further describes the current activities of the controlling company. In the last part of the thesis proposed actions to improve the functioning of the controlling system, including the evaluation of the benefits for the company.
Evaluation of a Construction in Terms of its Redevelopment into Non-residential Premises

The thesis deals with valuation of real property before and after change the purpose of use. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical inputs are defined areas related to real estate assessment. Cases study is dealt in the practical part. Case study is focused on real estate assessment and deals with determination of the impact on price of real property when will be changed the purpose of use. Also construction works related with change the purpose of use from residential unit to area intended to business. Construction works were calculated by budgeting programme. In the end is analysed price of real property before the purpose of use and after the purpose of use and evaluation of this price.
The Impact of the World Economic Crysis on Building Industry in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the influence of global economic crisis on building industry in the Czech Republic. It describes origins, course and impacts of contemporary world economic crisis on global economy. It compares the first economic crisis in the 1930s with current crisis as well. This paper is also focused on the impacts of the crisis on the building industry in the Czech Republic and depicts its evolution in time of the crisis. The goal of the thesis was to capture the evolution, describe the impacts of this evolution and find some appropriate measures for a new development.
Influence insulations on price and quality work

This Bachelor thesis focuses on influence insulation substructure, insulation flat roof and insulation facade on the quality and price of the building. The theoretical part of thesis is focused on description of pricing, costs and their costing, budget and characteristics of the materials. In the practical part are selected appropriate materials and composition of insulation for concrete building. Consequently is developed price calculation of waterproof membrane, thermal insulation and appraisement building. In the final section is evaluated impact on price and quality of building.
Investment Construction in the Frame of the Regional Development

The aim of the thesis is the basic characteristic of the functioning of EU structural policy and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the history of the EU, the development of EU structural policy, including tools for its application and continuity of structural policy in the Czech Republic after accession to the EU. The practical part of the thesis presents the completed project Leat Tasovie, which was co-funded by the European Union under the Operational Programme Environment.
