Multiplatform player of audio signals
Šenovský, Jiří ; Mach, Václav (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is about problematic of multiplatform libraries for graphic interfaces. Two most widely used libraries Qt and GTK+ were chosen for further comparation. Short program will be programmed with both of these libraries. Difficulty of using Qt and GTK+ will be explored using this program. On this basis one library will be chosen and multiplatform sound player will be created using this library. It will be extended by record function and showing of timeline and spectrogram of a record.
Audio signal editing software for multi-speaker systems
Svěrák, Jan ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on creating audio editing software for multi-speaker systems which can be used for real-time signal processing, such as polarity inversion or delay ranging from one to several thousand samples. The thesis is split into three main chapters. The first chapter contains theoretical knowledge required for development of audio software, for example principles of digital signal processing. The second chapter comprises of an overview of the source files and descriptions of several significant classes and functions. The last chapter is intended as a user guide, therefore it contains instructions on how to operate the software via the user interface.
Phonetic transcription of Czech
Pavel, Lukáš ; Křupka, Aleš (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The goal is to create an application for automatic transcription of Czech language into a phonetic form. The first chapter of this thesis describes the basic phonetic units, alphabets and symbols, that phonetic alphabet uses. The second chapter describes in detail the rules of phonetic transcription of Czech language, including specific examples. Finally, in the third chapter is a description of the application created in C programming language, including flowcharts for better orientation in its functions.
Debian repository web interface
Murgaš, Marek ; Jablončík, Lukáš (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor’s thesis is implemetation of web interface for Debian repository. The main goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to create application, which will be able to get information from compressed debian packages and generate corresponding index files for the purpose of simulating Debian repository structure. The theoretical part of this thesis concentrates on introduction of technologiesused for implementation of web interface. Further, it deals with description of Debian repository structure. Theoretical part also includes description of Debian packages structure and information needed for generating index files. Additionally, there is also introduction of possible ways for signing Debian packages. Practical part of this thesis consists of description of web interface implementation and presentation of user interface.
Multimedia center platform
Vrba, Jiří ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This paper provides a basic insight into the contemporary options when choosing the right Linux distribution for multimedia center or home theater. There is an emphasis on support for single board computers. In the first part, a few important audio and video related aspects of multimedia distributions are mentioned, such as usage of drivers, surround sound support, decoding CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, peripherals requirement and TV broadcast implementation. Also, there are mentioned the most used frontend applications and pictures of their graphical user interfaces are included. The second part is about experimental testing of 9 different distributions on an laptop with x86\_64 architecture. The user interface, installation process, functionality and overall image were evaluated for every distribution. The third part describes the process of installation of the Kodi app on four different platforms including problems that occurred during the process.
DMX 512 protocol analyzer for personal computer
Vahalík, Jiří ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a DMX converter for a personal computer. The theoretical part summarizes the DMX, RDM and Art-Net protocols and other commonly used communication protocols used by microcontrollers. In the practical part, a device circuit is fabricated, which is subsequently processed as a printed circuit board. In the last part of the thesis, programs are designed to ensure the functionality of the whole converter.
Audio effect for pitch modification
Čermák, Václav ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the realisation of an effect for real-time pitch detection and pitch shifting. At first, properties and basic operations of audio signals are analyzed for time and frequency analysis. An emphasis is placed on signal conversion from the time domain to the frequency domain. Methods for audio pitch shifting, fundamental frequency detection and voiced parts determination are discussed next. The practical part describes design of relevant algorithms, their implementation in Matlab environment and evaluation of the results. Evaluation is followed by the creation of a VST plug-in for real-time pitch shifting, which contains chosen algorithms from the previous section and is the final output of this thesis.
Sewage sludge – a secondary source of environmental contamination with heavy metals
Sysel, Petr ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Komendová, Renata (advisor)
This work deals with the elementary trace analysis of sewage sludge as a potential source of risk elements when applied to agricultural land. A total of 24 samples were analyzed, divided into two sets with different collection dates. The total content of zinc, copper, chromium, lead, mercury and cadmium in sewage sludge, as well as amount of risk elements that are extracted from sludge to water in 24 hours, was determined. Atomic absorption spectrometry was chosen for the analysis. It was found that the risk elements are in sewage sludge in amounts and order Zn (254.68 – 3084.53 mg/kg) > Cu (6.18 – 961.89 mg/kg) > Cr (26.95 – 387 .91 mg/kg) > Pb (0.84 – 155.30 mg/kg) > Hg (0.50 – 4.12 mg/kg) > Cd (0.06 – 2.61 mg/kg). A lower amounts of analyzed metals in the aqueous extracts than their total amounts in sludges were observed. The concentration of mercury and cadmium in the aqueous extracts was below the detection limits. It was evaluated that the risk elements in sewage sludge are found in less water soluble compounds. The results also show that the concentration of risk elements in the sludge does not depend on the number of equivalent inhabitants for which the treatment plant is dimensioned.
Audio effect based on signal spectrum modification
Vejvoda, Zdeněk ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis describes the design and the engineering solution of a hardware electronic sound effect that is a mixture of a frequency shifter and a delay effect. Electronic music intruments, sound effects and particularly modular synthesizer of the Eurorack standard are introduced. The firmware, developed utilizing the Max Gen environment and running on an ARM chip, prompted an examination of the Max platform. Finally, the thesis explores the calculations and processes required to construct a fully functional effect module. The device was assembled, tested and measured.
Linux encryptor of network traffic
Tůma, Petr ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on network traffic encryption on Linux platform. Goal of the thesis was to create an IPv4 network traffic encryptor. The chosen encryption method is encryption of the entire packet on the virtual interface. The encryptor uses methods from classical, quantum and post-quantum cryptography. Network traffic is encrypted with the AES-GCM-256 algorithm with a hybrid key established using QKD and CRYSTALS Kyber.
